-Very sturdy strong steel.-A great variety of hardware supplied that helps make it useful for many bed frames.-I attached mine to a Zinnus bed frame that I bought on Amazon quite easily.-Fits the most common style of headboards sold on Amazon just right.-A good bracket for attaching your headboard to your bed frame.-Lots of pre drilled holes and slots so it would probably be adaptable to many old wood frames too.-Good value for the price. A worthy purchase.

Zinus Headboard (& Footboard) Brackets
Although used on a Zinus steel bedframe, this review is only for the Zinus brackets. First, the bracket set is shipped with all the screws, washers, wing nuts, tools, & more needed to install the brackets, including extra bolts & wingnuts to be kept “just in case”.I had a challenging installation and it worked out beautifully. The bed is a wooden MCM Chinese Modern double bed by Kent-Coffey, the Park Avenue model. I used the Zinus brackets to update and upgrade this bed, that began life in the 1950’s as a double bed, to a usable queen size bed that no longer creaks & moans with every turn. The brackets’ design flexibility allowed me to make this work. My particular application required drilling four custom holes in the footboard brackets & using my own wood screws to attach the footboard. For the headboard, the bracket slots lined up fine and I only needed to mark & drill four holes through headboard mounting boards, thus enabling me to use the longer bolts, washers, wing nuts, & the excellent wrench provided by Zinus with the bracket sets.So: – Excellent design & flexibility – Great instructions – Everything & more needed for installation in the way of accessories & even wrenches – Good quality materials sufficient to the task – Zinus appears to be a good company working hard to attract and retain customers

brackets may not be universal
The brackets, for less than 10 bucks, are pretty sturdy and didn’t take much to add onto the ZInus 4″ metal platform bed frame. We got it to attach a First Hill headboard (First Hill B-025 Upholstered Tufted Headboard, Full, Ivory).It came with good instructions and a fantastic little tool to attach the brackets. That was the easy part. The hard part: The headboard holes did not line up so we had to either drill holes through the metal legs of the headboard or the brackets (about 2″ off the mark). We ended up drilling through the bracket and making our own holes. It took extra time and the use of a drill, but it worked. Universal might not be the right word for these brackets, but in the end they allowed us to attach the headboard and they were pretty inexpensive.

Easy to use and works well
I ordered this to attach a headboard to a Zinus folding frame which needed no construction. This was easy to use and had clear instructions and all the tools to attach this to the frame and then attach the headboard to the connector. They also provided a couple of extra replacement parts.

Bought these after the fact to attach a headboard to a formerly purchased queen size bed frame. They are well made, went on easy, were inexpensive, and did the job well.

We purchased the queen headboard and these brackets. You need to buy these to install the headboard. The work great, very sturdy. Easy to assemble. The Zinus bedframe already has holes for these brackets.Definitely recommend buying. Without these the headboard wonât stay properly.
