The Worx Nitro WA0223 Driveshare 8” Universal Lawn Edger Attachment makes your Worx Nitro String Trimmer even more useful by turning it into a strong and precise lawn edger. Part of the Driveshare system that includes attachments for a Hedge Trimmer, Pole Saw, and Brush Cutter, too (all sold separately). Also part of the powerful Nitro Series of tools, which boast gas-like performance but use clean, cost-effective battery power instead. The Lawn Edger Attachment features a heavy-duty steel cutting blade that is 8 in. in diameter and has a cutting depth of 2.5 in. That’s deep enough to trench for laying electrical wires, even boundary wires for the Worx Landroid robotic lawnmower. It weighs only 4.21 lbs., so you can edge the entire yard and feel less fatigue. The attached guide-wheel makes for smoother operation, straighter lines, and it adjusts to various cutting heights. And this Lawn Edger Attachment is universally compatible, meaning it fits most other brands’ split-shaft design string trimmers, like those from Ryobi, Craftsman, Troy-Bilt, and TrimmerPlus. Works great
Bought this for my 60v DeWalt weed eater. Fits it perfect and edges great. The construction is very solid. Happy with my choice.

Good build quality and blade replacement
I bought this to replace my old edger attachment after destroying it trying to replace blade that was worn down to a nub.Evaluated every available edger attachment and this was the only one that reviewers indicated that replacing blade was not difficult. The first thing I did was verify blade removal was possible and apply antisieze to the threads. This prevents future difficulty removing blade after thread oxidation. The aluminum housing is much more durable than typical plastic and the attachment works well on my Greenworks 40v trimmer. Overall a great design and works really well.

Fitment and performance
I saw several questions about fitment in the questions section, here’s the low down and hopefully some useful advice to those who know what they are looking for. This edger will most likely fit any standard 1″ straight tube square shaft trimmer. I personally own a Stihl FS70. Do not attempt to attach this to a curved shaft trimmer. If you own a combination shaft style trimmer that comes apart in the middle please note that this tube is 1″ and the shaft is male on the end that will hook to your trimmer.Straight shaft trimmer fitment. If you own a straight shaft string trimmer with a 1″ tube and square shaft I believe the standard is (.250 inch) 1/4 in. The shaft on this unit measured out at .200 on the one I received.More on fitment: you will need some basic tools to perform the following steps, most new trimmers will use either a Allen style bolt or torx bolt. The new edger attachment came with the proper tools to remove the tube that came with it. Remove the new attachment from the tube it came on.Use the required tool to remove the bolts from your current trimmer head that secures it to the tube.At this point you need to try to keep your trimmer as level or inverted upward with power head down as possible.Remove the current trimmer head ( this may require some twisting and pulling to get your current head off).Holy crap 2 feet of my trimmer shaft just fell out of my machine ( don’t panic). Push the shaft back up and twist it until you feel it engage the power head.Lining up your new attachment head is critical. If you have used your trimmer there is probably a dirty mark on the tube. The new attachment should slide all the way or pretty close to the dirty mark on your tube. If it doesn’t, your shaft is probably not engaged properly. ( here is what happens internally) if your new attachment isn’t pretty close to being lined up when you install it the shaft won’t find the placement and it spins ( some basic movement may be noted in new attachment with no real force. The shaft isn’t engaged properly. Note the position of the shaft and the position of the attachment before installation. Both can be adjusted before installation. I always try to limit the amount of twisting I do when I install any new attachment. On to tightening the bolts. Carefully tighten these bolts, on this particular attachment, one bolt tightens the circumference and one locks it into position. The bolt that appears sideways to the shaft snug it up good. The bolt that is directly facing the tube has the potential to damage internal parts if over tightened. You want it to grab the tube but be careful not to over tighten this one. You should be ready to use your new edger.I know that was a lengthy involved review, hoping it helps someone, Now to the downlow about the equipment, I’ve attached this to a Stihl FS70. With very little use I’ve noticed a definite whine in the gearbox under high rpm conditions. I packed it with a high temp grease, but I have a feeling that this attachment wasn’t meant to be rotated at such high speeds. So far its performed its job flawlessly, we shall see about longevity. Stihl has quit selling attachments for anything other than combi system.

Not Universal
This item is not Universal at all. Maybe it fits with several other brands but it 100% does not fit on ego mutli-head lawn tools.

No more extension cord!
Very pleased with the quality of the Worx edger. And, most importantly, it fit my Husqvarna LD128 2 cycle straight shaft weed trimmer! Well the Husqvarna weed trimmer is strong and up for the task, I would suggest baby run in the high-speed jet a little on the rich side! better to be safe than to burn a piston and be sorry. Just my two cents!

Easy to use and works well.
Since it has exchangeable tools it limits complete tools for everthing. Worx works well for everything.

Shaft size is compatible with my Toro Motor although the locating spring loaded button is in the wrong place. Seems to be of decent quality.
