They filter well and hold a lot of dust
They do a good job filtering and hold a lot of dirt and dust. You can take them off and knock the bulk of the accumulated dirt and dust off and then put the back in, so they last a long time as long as you don’t get the wet.Installing them is easy as long as you make sure to push them all the way on so that the filter opening goes beyond the lip of the prong they attach to. Otherwise they will just fall off, in which case you will know soon enough when whatever you are vacuuming up comes blowing back out again. It does take some effort to push them all the way on.

Have replaced this filter now twice. they last a long time even with the abuse of remodeling, etc. They are easy to clean by washing out. I hope these 2 last me for years

I have a Model WD4070 Rigid shop vacuum (4gal). These fit my vacuum perfectly and my vacuum takes VF3500s. Was extremely easy to install – had no issues with seals breaking (perhaps the other customer had a bad batch – which sucks – or they’ve increased the quality of these). I did notice that it was a smidge longer than the filter that the unit came with but I have no idea if the filter that the vacuum came with was original to the unit – we actually found this vacuum at a thrift store and got it for $15 and a REALLY GOOD cleaning (plus we replaced the hoses – smelled like someone had cleaned an animal cage with it and then never bothered to clean it afterwards).Anyway, I definitely recommend these for my vacuum type – please note the model number above as there are 2 Rigid 4-gal shop vacuum types (perhaps the customer stating that it didn’t fit his 4-gal Rigid shop vacuum had a different one to ours).
