I beat it up for 7 years and 19 days and it sucked amazingly….
Seriously it worked like a CHAMP! With its 3’ hose it’s taken care of our fallen, rotting apples every single year, taking multiple passes at it each year along with the every other assignment and task I’ve given it. From detailing cars (I bought the car cleaning kit) to hardware after work sites this beast has saved me so much time and effort. It easily pulls dog hair mixed with dried mud up on our concrete stairs (tho I sometimes have to lift a little area with a stick to get it to pull the rest up). The hose has only started to bend in one area after this length of time and that’s due to a 95 lb dog and a playful child stomping on it one day to finally get it to even bend at all. I am happy to buy another now it’s given up it’s sucking prowess. Well worth the investment. Occasionally something would get stuck in the hose (or slightly bent intake area so look there as well) so I’d just pop that hose with clip end out and swap the sucking end I was using to the intake hole and it always was able to suck the jammed item back out again. Maybe taking a through shake of the hose if the nature matter was wet.As I said we BEAT it up. It probably would have had another ten years in it if I would have taken proper care of it. I didn’t in the last two years and I know that. Life was difficult and putting this back when I used it so often fell off my to do list. But it kept on kicking even being left out in the rain a few times yall…. And the sun a WHOLE BUNCH.I will now keep the old base canister so I can just bring the top with its electrical cord from the front to back yard without hauling the big canister and hoses between them now and that will simply make life THAT much easier to not lift it over our dog gate (it’s too wide to roll through) anymore. So some would say it dying is a bad thing but I can’t in this instance.I’ve had many a shop vac and this by far has been my fave!!! Although the backpack version I built a. Backpack to use it with wasn’t bad either – until the dogs chewed the cord when puppies when they found it in the yard (unplugged). This stainless version tho if you have heavy duty needs it’s WELL worth the investment! Keep it indoors like they tell you too and I bet ten- fifteen years out of it at least

    This thing sucks…..
I mean that quite literally. Just arrived today and after I put it together I thought I would try it out. WOW! sucked up all the packaging that everything came in, didn’t mean to, was just going after a leaf on the carpet, scared the hell out of the cat cause she was playing with the plastic wrappers. Good thing she wasn’t closer or I might be needing a new pet.I can say this seems to be more powerful than the Shop Vac I own that is the same size. Plus I like the caddy bag that is on the handle to keep all the attachments in. We will see how this holds up on a couple jobsites.Update : 4/5/2017, Ok so its been a couple years, this thing is still going strong, still has the suction power as it did when new. Everything from sawdust, to plaster chunks, nails, screws you name it, I have sucked it up. I even used it to retrieve a screwdriver that was dropped down inside a 4″ cast iron vent pipe while I was taking out some old plumbing.Update 8/10/2023. 8 years later and this thing still sucks, sucks just like it did when it was brand new, countless bags and a few filters later, it sucks. Hopefully in another 8 years it still sucks.

    This Workshop is a BEAST!
This Workshop really sucks!! I have had more “shop type” vacs then I can remember, but this is absolutely the best, it is incredible. By comparison, none of the previous vacs cleaned as well, even brand new, as does the Workshop. Based on the prices of shop vacs previously purchased, it seems that the Workshop is a little pricey. However, we are in the middle of a bathroom renovation and I have been cleaning up the work area every night. The Workshop picks up all the saw dust, wall board dust, tile chips, wall scraping, screws and nails so easily. It comes with a great selection of accessories. I have not used the Workshop for any water issues, so can’t comment on that performance, but it has surpassed my expectations for dry vacuuming. I would highly recommend this as a solution to your dirty problems.

one review said it sucked the cat into it
Ok, one review said it sucked the cat into it. Well I doubt that but this is a good product. The only drawbacks are its size and the cost of the vacuum bags. It works better with the bags although I’ve used it with out which requires frequent cleaning of the element filter to ensure good suction. If not bag is used I have to lift the tank to empty it. By doing this the attachments in carrying pouch need to be secured or they will fall in the trash too. The cord is long which is nice & the hose lock is a great feature.

Filter gets clogged fast. Requires lots of attention to the filter in order to maintain power. Parts feel cheap and seem like they will easily crack in a shop environment.
