Exactly the filter they don’t give you when you buy a new shop vac
They sell the shop vac and promote it as a wet and dry vacuum, but you can’t use the wet function unless you have a special filter for that application. Well, save your money and get this one instead of the original one! It’s basically exactly the same thing at half the cost! The material is superb and these are obviously washable. So ideally you’ll never need another filter of that type. It’s a shame they make you buy it separately, but luckily there are companies that offer more reasonable solutions like this one.

Keeps The Vacuum Motor Dry
Compared to the OEM Ridgid VF7000 filter, this works as well in filtering out dirt during a wet vac job, but because of the less than snug fit, there is some water (just a tiny bit) that gets into the motor housing. This is the only negative that I experienced during initial use.

Fits my Ridgid Shop Vac Perfectly!
I purchased this as an alternative to the OEM paper filters that are used on my Rigid shop vac. Who would have thought a paper filter was good in wet vac situations? This product has been great! It’s made of a high density black filter material that is wrapped around a black rubberized canister shaped material. It fits tightly on my shop vac. I tested it with dry dust and it performed very well. I also tested it in a wet situation and it performed very well. Even better, after both tests I removed it, rinsed it off, and now it’s ready for my next use! This product makes sense for any shop vac owner who is tired of purchasing those expensive and wasteful one-use paper filters. I recommend it!

needed for wet pickup
I got this for my 16gal Ridgid shopvac and it fits good. Snaps right on to the filter holder just like the pleated filters. My vac didn’t come with the foam sleeve for wet pickup so this was much needed and cheaper then the store. Seems well built, the foam is attached to a plastic internal frame to help keep its shape and not collapse when under suction and its performing well. You can rinse these out so it should last a really long time. I wouldn’t use it for dry pickup as the pores in the coarse foam would let too much fine dust pass but for wet pickup this a must to keep the motor clean from debris.

So much better than the sock
I highly recommend this filter to anyone who uses a shop vac for dirty water.. This is made from extremely nice material. Has enough filtering ability to keep small material inside the vac but not so much that it cloggs before the vac is actually full.. Its easy to clean with a spritz of water.. awsome addition to my vac

Snugly Fits our Rigid Brand Wet/Dry Vac
This fits our Rigid brand wet/dry vac. Itâs has good quality with no flaws, it fits snugly, and it works as expected. This morning, we vacuumed out a drain line that turned out to be a huge wet mess due to scale buildup. This reusable filter washed up easily. The black mesh material is durable, and it is going to be used for many cleaning jobs around the house. Further, I expect that it will last a long time.
