I wanted to find a problem with this unit, but for the price…
I poured in too much oil. The drain plug performed better than expected, no mess at all.I attached everything. They DID NOT include the instructions about the gasket seal for the steel tub, I am not sure your supposed to use it. I did.I fired it up and after a very quiet few minutes it reached 30 on the gauge. I closed the valve and put the pump away. Twenty four hours later it has dropped to 29 on the gauge. That is more than enough time for anything to cure.It works, as advertised, but for how long?Okay! SO I have had the chamber under vacuum for three days now. The gauge has dropped on one Hg in the first 24 hours and then stopped at 29Hg. I am calling top notch on the chamber. The pump is my concern. It took two thirds of a bottle to fill the pump. I pumped it down to 30Hg and the oil was at low level. That will be covered by the last 1/3 of the bottle. That’s a lot of oil if I do 10 draws a week.Update: Day 14 – Chamber is at 28Hg. I am calling it good.

Works perfectly and is very powerful and quiet. Pulled a deep test vacuum in the vacuum pot and it has remained at the same vacuum pressure for over a week now. Zero leaks.

Worked great till it didnât
This vacuum pump worked great until it didnât. We used it about 4 times and all of a sudden it stopped vacuuming. I contacted customer service and they asked me if I wanted to return it, get a replacement or get tech on the line to troubleshoot. Obviously I chose a replacement. Oh boy, we shall see how long this takes. Iâm assuming the warranty department is in China because half the subject in the emails is Chinese. They ask you first to text them a 15 second video of the pump on and not working, which I sent. Then they tell you support will reach out with a status, hahaha they send you an email a few hours later (I got the email at midnight) asking you to reply to the email for a status update. So with the time difference itâs taking about a day between emails. This was Thursday last week, itâs Wednesday today and I just got another email saying â Hello,Sorry for the wait.The supplier said: This sound is not right anymore, is it a new pump, is there any oil in it?Happy new year!sharoncustomer supportâObviously itâs a new pump and if they looked at the order date they would know itâs a new pump and they would see in the video and notes that yes there is oil. Iâm not impressed at all with the customer service. Iâve submitted my proof and asked for a replacement but having to jump through hoops to get said replacement. Iâll update if and when I finally get the replacement.

NO MORE BUBBLES
This vacuum chamber works great for getting rid of bubbles. It’s easy to set up and easy to use. I love that it comes with the vacuum pump and the price is very reasonable.

Value is unmatched
Try buying this kit piece by piece. I’ll save you time, you can’t. This kit is sturdy and does exactly what it is promoted to do. One tip, even though it comes with pump oil I suggest buying a vapor free pump oil instead. Once these things pull vacuum near -20 it’s starts to release vapor from the pump. It’s not smoke it’s just vapor but you can avoid this with a different pump oil.

Would not recommend
The gauge leaked everywhere and had corrosion as you can see in my pictures. Shipping box was intact. Only the damage was inside and looks like it had leaked a while go but being and oily substance it didnât dry.

Good Device
Out of the box, hook up the tube, drop the liner into the chamber, plug it in and you are off to the races. I experimented with a medium curing time resin and found out I made an error. When I used slow curing, and used 3 compression cycles, the bubbles vanished. Great value for small to mid size molds. I like it

Does what it’s supposed to!
I got this vacuum pot for deqassing epoxy resin before pouring into molds. There is some setup required, but that was expected. Mine came with a bottle of oil and I needed pretty much all of that bottle to bring the level to full in the pump. I also cleaned the silicone rim seal that goes around the pot rim and cleaned the lid seal as well. I used a very small amount of the oil that was left in the bottle to wipe a very light film of oil onto both surfaces for a good seal. The setup they sent me works great and draws a vacuum equal to the maximum reading shown on the dial of the gauge on the pot. After several vacuum pulls of 10-15 minutes each, I have no problems to report.
