Absolutely Worthwhile Upgrade
Very impressive! The best way I could think of to review this item was to run a comparison between the upgraded version and the original version, which I have always been very happy with it’s performance the past couple of years. The upgraded is a hands down winner!The nutshell:- Heats faster- Stronger transducers- The De-gas mode works as advertised- Temperature gauge is more accurate (See photo)The equipment: Vevor 3L Original and Upgraded model. The same amount of water, cleaning solution and allowed to rest to identical ambient temperatures.Heating 17 degree water (the original read 15 degrees) to 35 degrees:- Upgraded 10min 23sec (See photo at 10m23s mark)- Original 21min 37secEnd of a 10min cycle temps (measured at 14sec remaining. See photo):- Upgraded 46 degrees- Original 36 degreesTo me this sees to indicate more molecular friction that increases the water temp beyond the heating element setting. In other words, stronger transducers. Further indicated visibly by the increased amount of water cavitation and larger amount of debris left in the water from the test pieces I used.To note:- I used the laser thermometer on the lower and underside of the cleaners to ensure the additional heat wasn’t being created by the transducers simple running hotter and acting as an additional heating element. That didn’t appear to be the case.- I wasn’t trying to fully clean the test pieces. Simply a general comparison after a short 10min cycle.**”De-gas mode”. This was new to me. Essentially, when using de-gas mode the transducers will run in a cycle of 6sec’s ON, then 3sec’s OFF. Allowing air bubbles to dissipate rather than accumulate, however, you may want to increase the cycle time. IE., a 10min cycle of active cleaning would require 15min on the clock.Conclusion: Cleaning effectiveness observation after playing with them for a week. The half wave setting is nearly as effective as the Originals full power cleaning mode and the Upgraded is vastly more effective even with shorter run cycle times.An absolutely worthwhile upgrade versus the original!

Thorough Cleaning for Small Items
The VEVOR 2L Ultrasonic Cleaner with timer effectively cleans small items like jewelry and parts from my garage projects. The timer function allows me to set the cleaning duration, and the ultrasonic waves remove dirt and grime efficiently. Itâs easy to use and has been a helpful tool for keeping my belongings clean without much effort. I use an ultrasonic specific degreaser on small car parts. This has been good enough that now I want a larger unit.

Thermostat doesn’t work
I think it’s pretty good for the price. The heater actually heats up relatively quick unlike a lot of other brands. However, the thermostat doesn’t work. The temperature goes to maximum regardless of what I set it to. It has a degas feature. It doesn’t leak yet. It’s noisy but I can’t hear it if I go into another room and shut the door. The build quality looks good although whoever put the stickers on the side clearly didn’t care about doing a good job. I’m not impressed by the results so far, but I’ve only tried the green Simple Green. I’m using it to degrease metal parts before powder coating and it’s adequate.

Works Like A Champ
Ultra sonic cleaners have come down in price over the last few years, making them become a popular way to clean intricate parts that would be difficult and time consuming to clean manually.They can’t do everything, which will be mentioned quite a bit in the minimal manual provided.But when used properly they work very well. This cleaner by Vevor is no exception…very nice machine.It will heat up the main medium (water) for you, but I suggest heating up water on your own if you are in a hurry to get started. Your oven has far more power at its disposal for that purpose.Once the water is heated, pour it into the stainless steel tub up to the demarcation line which is easy to see.Controls are simple and straightforward. Buttons on the left are for temperature…I just set it to the maximum. The right buttons are the timer…again…very straight forward.It cleans beautifully. Make sure you use the basket included as the ultrasonic motors underneath can cause problems in the long run if you allow the parts you are cleaning to rest in direct contact with the bottom.This Vevor cleaner works very well indeed. I ordered the 3L for my small tools…mostly sockets.As a cleaning solution I use anything from Dawn (for light cleaning) to vinegar and orange peel solution (home made) for the tougher items. In just a few minutes…the difference is night and day.One tip I would offer is…if you are cleaning something really dirty and you need to use the cleaner more than once…put the parts with the cleaner in a separate jar and place the jar into the basket. The ultrasonic vibrations will go through the jar without resistance and clean the part(s). When you are done…you can dump the jar cleaner out and start again with something else. This way the main volume of water remains clean and ready to go for another project.This unit worked flawlessly for me. Good deal for the coin being asked.If you are unsure if your item will be safe, do some research online, there are a ton of videos explaining what you can and cannot do with them.Recommended!

Superb for bike chain cleaning
High temperature, timers, and several agitation modes makes for a great bike chain cleaner. I just wish I could get the temperature to 95C instead of being limited to 80 to melt tougher waxes, and I wish the basket was better suited to hold quicklinks. Otherwise fantastic.
