Vac – It’s Just a Baby. And it Blows!
I got this vacuum to help easily clean out my cars and for my daughter to use it on the carpet after she brushes her dog. I always feel bad for her when she has to haul out the big Miele for such a small job. I also thought I might like using the blow function to clean out keyboards and to help with dog training. (More on this later.)The small package insert states that you need to fully charge it before use. There are three lights that light up and flash when it’s charging. When I plugged mine in, two lights were solid and one was flashing, so it must’ve still held a substantial charge. When all three lights are solid, you’re done. To charge, you use the included USB-C cable (and a brick to plug it into the wall).The mini-vac includes three attachments, but you’ll only see two in the box. Turns out, two of the attachments come already connected. I really like that it includes a carry bag. I hate having loose parts hanging around in my hall closet.Important: You have to hold down the power button for a long time for it to turn on. There are two power levels; high and low.Vacuuming: It did a good job picking up the little things I tried to get with it. It’s not super powerful, but anyone using this over a full-sized vacuum isn’t trying to do a massive clean. I really liked it for cleaning around the base of the stair spindles. Although some reviewers were surprised at the suction power, I wasn’t. Suction power was what I expected from a small device. It was enough to get a bit of tidying done, but nothing to get excited about.Blow feature: To use, stick the gray attachment in its butt (opposite from the vacuum side). I have cans of compressed air that I use to clean my keyboard, and they won’t be fully replaced by this blower. It is a nice feature, though, and I will use it to blow crumbs from behind the toaster, clear dust off of tchotchkes, and remove debris from the edge of my range.I had a little fun walking around the house and seeing what I could use this for. (#adultlife) There were many things! And the vac is so light it won’t bother you at all to carry it around. I used it to clear out our air intake vents, for example.I hope that the battery lasts a long time. You can’t use it while it’s plugged in, so it’ll be a pain if I need to use it but it has to charge for a few hours first. I don’t often feel like cleaning, so I have to strike as soon as that fleeting ember appears.Emptying it was super easy. Just twist off the clear cone, lift out the filter, and dump out the debris. Or just leave the debris and let mom clean it out when it clogs so much it stops working (sigh).Free tip: Using compressed air for dog training. This was an idea given to me by our dog trainer. We have a chihuahua with a barking problem. We keep a can of air nearby and spray it when she barks. The noise of it startles her and stops the barking. (We don’t spray it AT her.) She HATES the sound of that air can, so even just holding it in my hand is enough to keep her quiet. I won’t be using this unit for that purpose, though. You have to spray the air IMMEDIATELY when the dog barks, and this unit takes a few seconds to turn on.

Not enough suck
No. There’s not enough power in this thing to really be of much use. It has worked best on loose dead lady bugs laying around. That’s it. It does not suck up heavier things even smaller things like kitty litter. The one piece of litter is too heavy for this thing. It’s just kind of useless. The idea is great and the lightness of it makes it great for carrying around all over and getting the small stuff, but there just isn’t enough power to be of any good. Especially not for getting things out of a car carpet.
