The Vacmaster 5-Gallon* Wall Mount Wet/Dry Vacuum is the perfect combination of performance and convenience. The ultra quiet, 2-stage motor is powerful enough to handle any job the home, garage, or shop can throw at you. This vac features an easy to use remote control setting that allows the user to turn the vac on and off from the end of the contour handle. The 21-foot hose system and 20-foot power cord delivers extra-long cleaning reach, so you’re not constantly searching for power outlets. The VWM510 can be stored neatly on the wall and becomes portable with the quick pull of a lever. This wet/dry vac comes standard with an array of attachments that all store on-board so that you’re prepared for any task. * “Tank Size” refers to the actual tank volume, and does not reflect capacity available during operation. ** “Peak Horsepower” is a term used in the wet-dry vac industry for consumer comparison purposes. It does not denote the operational horsepower output of a wet-dry vac, but rather the horsepower output of a motor, including the motor’s inertial contribution, achieved in laboratory testing. In actual use, motors do not operate at the peak horsepower shown. *** CFM, Water Lift, and Air Watts tested to ASTM standard at the end of included hose.

Very good quality! Here’s what you need to know!
I am new to the Vacmaster brand but am happy to report that this is a very high quality shop vac system. Everything you need in a shop vac kit is here with this particular model intending to be mounted to the wall. I mounted in my garage which makes car and floor cleanups very easy and convenient. Both hoses connected will give you easy coverage for 20-feet in all directions, by my estimate. The vacuum works well and is a huge improvement over my older 14-gal Rigid, which I came to realize was way too big for my needs. 5 gallon seems just about perfect.Setup is easy and the device seems to be well engineered. Everything from the thoughtful power cord wrap in the rear to the clamps that hold the motor to the bucket. The only thing missing from the directions specifically is what to do about the 2 hoses. Put them together? Which one first? The images on the box itself shows both hoses connected so this is clearly a supported way to operate. I tried it both ways and think the best method is with the standard hose connected directly to the vac base and the flex hose put on the end nearest to you. When the suction is active, the flex hose will constrict quite a bit, this constriction is worse when it’s connected directly to the base. I’d say it would almost be better with 2 lengths of standard hose, honestly. The only other thing that I think would improve this product greatly is some kind of clear sight window in the base bucket so you can gauge how full it is. Being that this is mounted on the wall, you may not be very likely to take it down and check unless you really have to. One other thing to note is that the remote power control wand is battery operated and communicates wirelessly to the base which is activated by putting the base power switch in a special wireless position. The battery is included in the wand, which is sadly a non-standard model that will have to be sought out specially. We’ll see how well this works over time. When mounting on the wall, make sure to mount it high enough so that you don’t have to duck around the hose port if it will be in your walking path.Things I really like about the Vacmaster:-Powerful suction-Wide assortment of attachments which are stored on the base directly-Blower noise diffuser included-Remote on/off power handle-Very large and high quality filter included (foam for wet included as well)-Wall mount system works great and stores everything, including extension wandsThings that could be improved:-Sight window on bucket to gauge fullness would be nice (since this is mounted on the wall)-Dual connected hoses work ok but flex hose shrinks a lot while in use. 2 standards hoses would’ve been fine.-There is also no “good” way to wrap and store the hoses. I just wrap both around the body using the top handle as a stop. Not pretty but effective.-The power handle uses a non-standard 23a 12v battery which will have to be purchased speciallyOverall very happy with the vacmaster and even happier I no longer have to lug my large and heavy 14-gallon rigid vac around to clean the car or pick up messes.

Wish I had bought this sooner!
Iâve had a 12 gallon 5 hp shop vac on wheels for years and this vacmaster mall mounted vac is so much nicer. I read through hundreds of reviews on this shop vacuum and several others. I was between this, the vacmaster beast 5 gallon, and the rigid 4 gallon on wheels. In the end I decided I wanted something that was compact that I could store on the wall completely out of the way. Well this was it.I have a 24×28 garage and I mounted it right next to the door going into our breezeway. I can vacuum out all of my wifeâs van in the garage and I can take the hose into the breezeway to clean the floor and steps all without ever taking this vacuum off the wall. I can also now vacuum off my work bench while itâs still mounted on the wall which is so handy. Not a huge fan of the on/off remote. Itâs ok if you right close to the vacuum but as soon as you get away from it itâs pretty inconsistent on how well it works. Itâs small enough that itâs very easy to take off the wall into the house or basement to clean up after a project. Very easy to carry around by hand while vacuuming. Pretty stable on the ground, doesnât tip over every time to barely move with the hose like others Iâve used. I did consider getting the wheel base for it which from what Iâve read doesnât affect its ability to be wall mounted. But right now itâs not a huge necessity. Itâs much quieter than my old 12 gallon shop vac in my opinion. Much smoother sounding. Great suction. Even picked up small machine screws pretty easily. Very pleased with the performance and the thing is just so convenient with the wall mounting and smaller size.I canât really say anything bad about this vac because there really isnât anything bad to say. I did trim down the crevice tool about a half inch, the cutout in the side is pretty big and I felt like it took away a lot of the suction, now thereâs only like a quarter to half inch beep notch and itâs much better. The caddy for the attachments is ok but not great.Overall this thing is amazing for what it is and for the price. I highly recommend it!

Five Years of An Awesome Vacuum
Bought it over 5 years ago, and it still works perfectly. I use it all the time for vacuuming the cars out, the shop, random jobs, etc. never had an issue with it, and itâs definitely worth the price. Love the remote on the handle, the attachments, and the wall mount. Plenty of power, built well, etc.

Exact replica of Canadian tires master vac model from 10 years ago. Better suction power than all other vac of this size.

This vacuum did an excellent job of keeping our home clean during extensive renovations that included both drywall and cement dust. The suction is as good as any shop vac Iâve ever used and the hepa filter traps everything.

This is my first shop vac so I’m afraid I don’t have another for comparison. I bought it because of the smaller size, and because it is reputed to be quieter than other shop vacs in that range (5 gallons). I would say that the noise level is quite good. I don’t think it’s louder than my Dyson stick vaccum. When hooked up to a sander, it becomes about twice as loud, but I think it’s still quiet enough that you would not bother any neighbours in adjacent apartments. The suction seems very good! I’ve used it for sanding wood and sucking up outside debris, and both did well, with only a light amount of dust in the air from the sanding. Note that I had to remove the filter bag I was using when clearing up large debris because it kept getting jammed otherwise. The only problem is that there is no hepa filter designed for this model of vacuum, and the fine filters are only available in the US. The company does not ship to Canada. Using a fine filter bag with the regular filter will help when sanding wood, but it is absolutely useless if you need to sand dry wall. Which, naturally, is what I needed this vacuum for. [groans] I think there might have been a 10% reduction in the amount of dry wall dust generated using the shop vac. In other words, the dry wall dust from sanding the closet left a thick dust coat over the entire bedroom, walls and all.I have gone so far as to buy the filters, and ship them to an American friend, who is now shipping to me. The cost of all this has turned out to be almost as much as the vacuum itself! So, don’t make the mistake I did. This might be the same for other countries, so make sure you can purchase the fine filters before buying, unless you are only planning on using it to clean your car.One last note, be very careful when looking for the filters. There are ones that will pop up on Amazon, and they will say “Fits all Vacmaster shop vacs”, but further below will be a note saying “Except for model[s] VWM510”.
