After doing an exhausting research of Robot Vacs that could pick up dog hair ( we have four dogs that will produce enough hair on the floor in one day to form a Pomeranian ) and didn’t get clogged up like our Roomba, I found this UBPet V10. And boy does it suck! The power of this vac gets more hair than our Roomba ever could. But I also wanted a robot vac that could mop as well, which this does not do. So, I opted for the EVERYBOT Robot Mop to do that job. Together on Amazon my cost was about the same as a few Vac/Mop Robots listed on Amazon but had the same bad reviews on issues I experienced with the Roomba. Both work very well on getting up pet hair and keeping the floors clean. The only issue I have had with the UBPet is it doesn’t work well on areas of the floor lit by bright sunlight. I thinks it’s off the ground. So, we have to close all drapes and blinds while it’s running.

I was not a fan of robot vacuums from things I’ve read, but my wife wanted it and “what Lola wants, Lola gets”. It works incredibly well. we have a Chinese made wool rug which is very thick and it actually climbs up from hardwood to the rug. It cleans extremely well (after it perfects the map so it doesn’t miss any spots). It is much quiter than our upright vacuum. As for pet hair, I think I could knit another cat from the fur it has picked up.There are some caveats that a prospective buyer should know, which I have learned from using it:1. The setup instructions… The help phone does not work in the US, but the manufacturer did respond the promply to an email.2. The WiFi setup does not work when the vacuum is on the dock/charger. You have to take it off the dock to set up WiFi (which is how I found out that the help phone number doesn’t work in America)3. The device eventually perfects a map but it takes several uses. Be patient, it gets there, but you will have a few rescues in the process.4. Use the virtual wall feature in the software to help keep it away from places you don’t want it to go.I can’t comment on reliability yet as it is still new, but other than that, as far as I am concerned this is the only robot vacuum you need to look at.

Since our new family member ‘Sugar’ joined us, although she’s very lively and adorable and has brought us countless joys, we’ve also had cat hair everywhere! Until I discovered this product! It has truly saved me from having to vacuum the carpet three times a day! Its vacuuming ability is excellent and works on both carpet and tiles. It is also very customizable due to its various settings and modes (when it’s particularly dirty, you can chose for cleaning multiple times). It has long-lasting battery life and extremely limited noise while operating, along with its very cute cat ear design, really makes it hard not to love it! Every day when it’s working, it’s like a walking little cat! All you need to do is buy it, and leave the rest of the cleaning to it. It will never disappoint you. I will definitely recommend it to my friends with pet dogs and cats (or any pet with shedding fur), they deserve to have it!

There are no videos on how to use it. There’s plenty of them being reviewed. The app is not very sophisticated but it works. There’s a few things I don’t care for: like dumping the dust bin after each use remapping is a pain, not being able to boost the power during a specific part of the room like a carpet and then back down to normal section went on hardwood. The noise level is very low even on super sucking it’s not loud at all. I do like the feature that if it battery gets low it returns to base to recharge and then finishes where I left off after that. I wish the app was able to clear cleaning history instead of letting it stack up like it does I don’t care to have clearing history. Also what if I have an upstairs and a downstairs and I want to use the same vacuum throughout the whole house, there has to be a way to figure out have a map one and a map two for the different levels of the house. It doesn’t seem to be any customer service to speak of.
