The best cordless we tried
Very happy with our new Tineco A30S. Much better suction power than our Tineco A10 Essential (that died after a few months with a wet cleaning – bad idea!).Any cordless can do our hardwood floors, but we have 2 door mats that have been challenging for the A10 but are cleaning well with the A30S.The automatic speed adjustment works well but, for the door mats, I speed it up manually by pushing the right button. (It took me a while to figure that one out, the documentation was not helpful).Best part is that it requires minimum cleaning (compared to the A10) as everything comes apart (unlike the newer A10) so your can wet clean without damaging the electronic.It handles well and the weight and battery life are good.After 2 months of use I can say it is the best cordless we’ve had.

Outstanding Support
Great little vacuum for hard flooring. Probably useless on carpet. It has an issue with even the small foot wiping rugs in front of exterior doors. The little motorized brush stalls out on rugs and then the vac has to be turned off/on to “reboot” it to get it running again. The only other minor complaint is that the handle and balance are just a bit “off” and it would be great if the handle had some sort of soft grippy finish to make it easier to hang onto. Other that those two minor issues this is a great vac. Plenty of suction and the motorized brush really works to pick up pet hairs and all the other dust and fluff that accumulate on our dark hardwood flooring. Easy to grab from its wall hanger/charging station and make a quick run around the rooms. The motorized brush head is low enough to get under most furniture and the “headlights” on the brush head really light up the stuff that needs to be sucked up. I love it. Without the two minor items mentioned it would be a strong five stars.12/6/2024 Edit: After using the vac for several weeks I noticed that when I “turned left” the brush motor and headlights quit. But only when turning sharply left. Apparently a wire or connector inside the brush head was not making contact when turning sharply left. I contacted Tineco via their online chat and explained the issue. They sent me an email and asked me to take a short video of the problem. Through a few email exchanges their support was quick and knowlegeable. As soon as the problem was diagnosed they right away sent me a new brush head to replace the defective one. Problem solved. Definitely five stars for their support.

worst product ever and the return is difficult too, be careful
So to make it simple, there is a plenty of issues with the product, and many serious issues with the return process. First, the vacuum shuts off after 10 seconds no matter how many times I try, and that’s after charging over night. And the head is super heavy, and positioned in a very weird and awkward way when use it. The dust bin is another horror story that it’s not easy to take it off, that I ended up dropping it, and dust came out from the bin on the floor everywhere when I actually can’t vacuum it. So I had to sweep all the dust and clean the floor manually.The return process is extremely difficult, Amazon first make you wait for UPS to come and pick it up instead of giving an option of return label. Then, of course UPS never comes, so I had to call again to initiate the process. After they finally came to pick it up, it’s another 30 Days of waiting period for refund. So I am still waiting for the refund after purchasing this terrible thing last month.Please be careful of the Amazon return policy that is usually not informed on the site. I noticed it happens often for electronic items and appliances. I won’t be purchasing any of these categories from Amazon anymore.

Good Vacuum But Some Issues
I’m keeping it primarily because the battery lasts just long enough for the area I need to vacuum and it does a good job cleaning my floors (hard wood, tile, rugs). However, I’ve tried 2 of these vacuums, 3 times each, always on the lowest (economy) setting and the battery lasts 40 minutes max. I see no way this battery would ever last 60 minutes. It is loud, much louder than any vacuum I’ve every owned. I bought this on sale for $160 which helps in my decision to keep it.

Had a Dyson at 3 times the $ but couldn’t get a replacement battery even though the Dyson model is still for sale.

Seeing some inaccuracies and contradictions in other reviews here so just to clear a few things up…Pros-The A30s looks very nice with quality parts and accessories. One of the nicer looking vacuums imo.-The battery does last. Almost an hour on the lower settings. Max setting only used once in a while when necessary.-The battery is detachable for charging and replacing if needed.-It does roll easily enough on both hard floor and carpet. On carpet you just need to drop your arm a bit and not push on the carpet. Let the vacuum use it’s suction and it will deep clean carpet relatively effortlessly.-Hasn’t tangled at all so far. “Zero tangle” seems to be working. Very impressive. Not one hair yet.-Simple controls with just two buttons.-Feels nice maneuvering/holding it.-It’s not too loud.-Large 1L dustbin holds quite a bit. Only has to be emptied every few vacuum sessions.-Hepa filter which I THINK is well sealed. (A lot of cheaper vacuums are not and will blow smaller particles back out into your air). This one seems to be solid and well sealed but admittedly haven’t properly tested this. Would like to see someone do one of those smoke tests on YT.-Attachments slide on and off easily.-On sale it’s very good value.-Very nice packaging. All cardboard, no styrofoam, small box.Cons-It is heavy at about 10lbs. You get used to it and it’s not as big of an issue because you’re not using it very long typically but compared to most other cordless handhelds it’s heavier.-There is no visual feedback when switching between the three modes. The light stays blue. Would be nice for the light to either change color or brightness or position when switching. As is you cycle through the 3 modes and remember 1 press, 2 press, 3 press and can usually tell by the noise of the increased/decreased power which mode you’re in.-it doesn’t stand up on its own. But it does rest on a flat surface well sitting on the dustbin.-While the head fits under a low couch (pro), you won’t get very deep with the vacuum not lying flat against the floor.-Would be nice to have another attachment for handheld use like the short flexible hose attachment they sell separately (but in a package of attachments so not cheap)Overall really like it. Once you get used to the weight (isn’t an issue at all now) then it’s very versatile and does a good job in just about every situation. No problems so far. If they got the weight down a couple lbs that would be nice but considering the size of the battery and dustbin and quality feel of the solid parts might be difficult.Recommended on sale.
