Best Product for a marking Cat
We took in a cat that had half his hair, crooked tail at the tip and a torn ear. He has an attitude and thinks he has to mark his territory so we had to find a product that got rid of cat urine and broke down the smell of cat urine and this product “The Spruce Pet Stain and Odor Remover” took care of the odor leaving a pleasant smell instead of cat urine. No one knows that we have a problem cat because it does the job and leaves a pleasant smell. I recommend this to everyone with pets because it does work. Once you have a cat that does this it’s extremely hard to break them so this product is always handy and it works for dogs too. We keep our litter boxes clean but something happened to this cat and he thinks he should mark his territory. With his allergies, he cannot go back out because when he found us he had a flea collar grown into his neck leading us to believe he was put out or he lost his person. All people with pets should have this product because accidents happen with pets or you have a marker like us and this product cleans it up while breaking down the cat urine smell. Excellent results with The Spruce.As far as the spray part is a little on the cheap side but make sure you have it turned to spray and it won’t break the sprayer part because it has an off/spray switch like most spray bottles so trying to forse it to spray when it’s set to off will break the sprayer as with most spray bottles.

The spray is sticky and will track, so after 24hours you’ll want to wipe area down with water. It smells way better that the Bubbas Super Strength, which I ended up dumping because it stank so bad. Smells somewhat like the neroli apple orchid blend advertised, not bad at all but very distinct smell. Does appear to work well. After cleaning up senior kitty pee accident with baking soda and vinegar, saturated the area and let sit overnight/24 hours, then wipe up with wet rag or mop. No detectable pee smell after 3 days of drying.

Works like a charm
I bought this, like many things I buy online, half expecting it not to work — This stuff is the bees knees. I didn’t even have to scrub my hardwood floors; I just sprayed this stuff liberally on the area where my cat peed (he’s having trouble adjusting to my housemate’s new kitten), waited 15 minutes, and wiped it up with a sponge. Smell completely gone. I had tried soap and hot water, one part white vinegar to three parts cold water, etc. This stuff worked immediately. Don’t think I have even left a product review on Amazon before but this stuff is actually excellent.

Not as amazing as expected
First and foremost the sprayer stopped working on both sprayers after about 10 sprays. Also I was under the impression that the sent would be a lovely aromaâ¦ it was not. It wasnât bad, but Iâd describe it as neutral rather that oh so great. I perched the mint scented one. Also the bag the bottles arrived in was sticky and the top of it smelled really bad. With all this said I do think it took the pee smell away.

Spray spigot broke the first time I used it, so have to pour on a rag and rub into carpet.

I love this product!
Our cat seems to seek out our white carpeting in the bedroom when she’s eaten too much breakfast, and coughs up a hairball and the contents of her stomach. I’ve tried numerous products with so-so results. The Spruce Stain & Odor remover is a keeper. It didn’t leave a stain of its own, and left instead, a very natural scent that disappears as the stain fades away. I will definitely keep this in my arsenal of naural cleaning products. Easy directions, nice result!

Not a fan. Gross.
I have a senior cat who pees randomly on the carpet. I feel like Iâve tried everything when it comes to getting rid of the pee smell. I saw this on here and read the reviews and figured Iâd try it. Well. Not a fan. The spray nozzle does not work correctly. It seems to be broke as it only lets me spray one time and then it just stops with the trigger just hanging. This stuff smells awful. The pee smell is bad enough but then adding this to clean it just makes it so much worse. Gross. So now my carpets smell of cat pee and gross cleaner. Back to searching.

not that great
I originally purchased this item because my cat had 2 accidents on our brand new couch. I sprayed this product generously over the areas and patted with a damp towel, but the smell hasnât left our couch. there was also an odd residue left that you can feel if you rub your hand over the couch. the smell wasnât pleasant either. the nozzle on the botle also stopped working after a couple of sprays, so I had to transfer the product to a different bottle, which was inconvenient. I would return, but I donât have the bottle anymore. will not be purchasing again
