The Tetra® Water Cleaner gravel siphon is a great way to easily clean aquariums up to 55 gallons. The siphon makes monthly water changes easy! Remove 30 percent of your water using the gravel siphon by placing the larger end of the siphon inside the aquarium. Attach the clip to the front edge of the aquarium to prevent it from slipping out. Then, place the smaller end of the tube inside a bucket and attach the bucket clip to prevent slippage or follow instructions to use with the hose attachment. Squeeze the priming bulb until water begins to flow into the bucket. Move the water cleaner throughout the gravel to easily remove debris. If rocks are pulled into the tube, gently tap it on the gravel or side of your tank to dislodge. Continue until you have removed approximately 30 percent of the water.

Great product for doing water changes and cleaning fish poop. Sucks the poop from rocks and sand without sucking up the rocks and sand itself. Durable, Iâve had mine for over a year and still works just as well as when I first bought it. Works fast and doesnât leak

I have a 10 gallon tank and needed something inexpensive to clean it that didnât involve my husband having to carry large amounts of water for me. This little tank cleaner did the trick. The syphon works great and it can create quite a lot of suction cleaning the rocks. I can get just enough water out to refresh the tank too and not have to add it to my husbandâs âhoney doâ list. Itâs a win/win for us.

Wish it was easier to see the measurements inside the bucket
I bought this thinking I would be able to tell when I drained 1-3 gallons from my tank. It’s not easy measuring unless you find the one little outside scale (not super obvious), face it your specific direction you want to read it from, and try to ballpark it from the outside when looking at your water on the inside. I thought it should have notches or some inner bucket markings, since I never think to figure out where the markings are on a bucket when my hands are already wet messing around the tank. It’s frustrating. I bought this instead of a home depot bucket, which I could put better measurements on myself. I think this is a bit wider than home depot and holds a bit less, height wise, if you are making a storage decision. It’s simple and “pretty,” could just be better tailored functionally since it’s for aquarium water changes. It also got stained permanently black somewhat from my aquarium sand in the first use, but I guess it’s going to happen! Just don’t get a dark colored bucket or you might throw something valuable out with the water.

The only aquarium vacuum that has worked for me
My fiancé rolled his eyes when he saw this come in the mail LOL we have tried so many gravel vacuums/aquarium vacuums and theyâve all been absolute junk. This worked so well, and so quickly weâre both amazed. It actually cleans the gravel without sucking it up, it only brings out the debris and dirty water leaving the gravel in tact. Itâs very durable and seems like a versatile size. We have a 10 gallon tank and this worked perfectly for us but it looks like it would work for larger tanks as well. Definitely satisfied with this purchase and so are our fishies! Their water hasnât been cleaner! Makes weekly water changes a breeze, I actually look forward to doing them now as crazy as that sounds lol

Works well
Great option for those with small fish tanks. Smaller size is easy for maneuvering in tight spaces. I have a larger version from a different brand, however it works “too” well, draining the tank water faster than what I want. With the larger option, I don’t have enough time to do a thorough job as I typically don’t want to remove more than 40-50% of the water at a time.

Compared to other water-cleaning pumps I have had in the past, this one has worked the best with an easy pump to start the water flow and a simple suction to remove dirt from gravel or sand. Would highly recommend for the price.

It does make syphoning easy, even in a narrow & deep tank.The hand pump can fill with gravel. I disconnected any tubes that would come off, let everything dry out a bit, then spent a little time shaking out the gravel and it worked perfectly again
