Works great in my shop
Works great on sawdust, dirt etc. I even use it with the bag to suck up spent primers from my press. Love that large switch I can find without even looking while turning on and off. I do hope I can find a longer hose option for it. Super powerful. Recommended by this user.

Worth it
My fiancÃ©e bought this, and I was annoyed because I thought what would we ever need a âwet/dryâ vacuum for? But our water softener went out, and I canât imagine having to empty it without this bad boy. Not one drop of salty water anywhere. Then we just gave it a good rinse to clean it out. Good suction. Worth it.

Great vac
I bought this to clean out my house hawks cage and it really does a good job. The birds don’t care for it but they get over it….lol Great suction and easy to roll around. I’m sure it’d suck up a parakeet or two if I wasn’t careful… I love all the attachments too and will make good use of them.

Not as powerful, but good
Maybe I expected more suction power, but it’s still a good wet vac. I think for the most part it will do the job. I just thought it would have more suction power. I had a rigid which was 5 hp and I thought that one had really good suction. This still has good suction and maybe I expected too much.

Gotta be careful not to get too close to small valuable things you want to keep, like your kids lol, because it will suck them up in a blink of an eye! Works awesome, love it!

The good news is that this vacuum really sucks
I feel fortunate that I have not experienced what others here have reported.It is perhaps the most powerful vacuum I have had and there have been many as I serviced vacuums as a job many many years ago. The one gripe I had but cannot knock a full star off for is the lack of a swivel on the handle end of the hose. The swivel on the canister end is pretty nigh useless. It works but not like one could wish for. I’ll putz around with it some to see if I can modify it. So for that my rating currently sits at roughly, about, or approximately 4.83177.I have not had it for very long so longevity is yet to be evaluated. It is admittedly a lot of plastic but thus far all intact. I was disappointed that my Shop-Vac expired after only a few years of modest use. Shop-Vacs were synonymous with any vacuum relegated to “shop use” and to not be able find a replacement motor for it for less than what I had paid for the entire unit added to the dismay.So if Stanley could fix the hose issue for future consumers of this product and that it continues to suck as well as it does into the foreseeable future I could bump my numerical rating to a 5 down the road.

Nice suction for a messy job
We bought this ShopVac specifically to clean out our pellet stove…which is a very dusty job. Black ash is very messy. The one we had didn’t work all that great to begin with and only lasted 1 season. After cleaning the stove my son said that the suction on the Stanley ShopVac was great. It’s better than the last 2 Vacs we had ever did. It is a bit cumbersome to maneuver around there, but it’s because of furniture around it, the Vac has a good cord length so it just took a minute to get situated. I noticed that my son didn’t make as big of a mess with the Stanley, and any stray pellets were sucked up easily along with the ash.Great machine.

We bought this vacuum because we needed something that would suck up water once in a while. Used it once to suck up water and it worked great. The attachments are easy to use and the vacuum is easy to move around and not too heavy, I was able to hold it up (I’m a little old lady in her 60’s) while my husband had to crawl into a small space to suck up water that had leaked from a water pipe. It worked great. It was easy to clean afterwards, also. Very glad we bought it.
