Very nice quality and works well
When my 15 year old Miele upright gave up the ghost and I found Miele no longer made uprights I was devastated. The Simplicity upright has many of the same features as the Miele so I ordered. The pros- great suction that revived the nap on carpeting. Adjustable cleaning wand and 2 on board tools. Adjustable height or auto adjustment. Light weight (15lbs I believe). Small foot print for easy use in tight spaces and between chair legs. Nice edge system to get close to walls/baseboards. Hepa filters.Cleans well.Cons- loud! If you have hardwood/tile floors, curtains or use for dusting you need to purchase a separate 1 1/4 brushes (universal attachment kits are great). The carpet rotator brush does not stop when you use the cleaning wand. So be aware of cord and toe location. The cord is a bit short for larger homes, much plugging and unplugging. No suction selection. So same suction whether vacuuming carpet or drapes. So far not an issue.Overall Iâd give the vacuum 4.5 stars but rounding up to 5 as it is worth the money and does a nice job.

Just what I wanted!
This is a well designed vacuum cleaner. It’s lightweight but quite sturdy so it should last for many years. It has alll the features I consider essential; a long cord, powered assist, strong suction, on board tools and an easy to change bag. I like baged vacuums because you don’t get all the dust flying around when you empty a bagless unit and you dont have the visual of the dirt and dust that is always there on a bagless vacuum. I’m very happy with this purchase!

IMPORTANT INFO for this vacuum! Please read!
I have warmed up to this vacuum over time. There are a few things everyone needs to know before buying this that the company does not tell you!1. This vacuum requires belt changes every 6 months to a year. The brushroll is driven by a rubber belt that needs to be replaced every year at least, as it stretches out over time, reducing cleaning power a ton. The belts are cheap, and easy to replace, (just 5 phillips head screws on the bottom, take roller out, put new belt around motor pulley and roller, and stretch roller into place.). You can also look up how to change a vacuum belt on youtube. If you canât replace the vacuum belt every year or so, do NOT buy this, as the belt is 100% a wear item and WILL stretch out or break after a while. If you had a shark or dyson before, which have lifetime geared belts, this will be a new process for you. Usually vacuums that require belt changes are much lower priced than this.2. The brushroll does not stop turning at any time unless the belt is broken or removed. It will still spin on hard floors, and it does not have a squeegee to catch things it throws behind it, so it is therefore not good for hard floors. This vacuum is meant for almost all carpet and above-floor using the hose.3. The height adjustment: I highly recommend not adjusting the vacuum too low for your carpet. If you have shag, it should be on the max height setting or one below. I have thin rugs that I still only go down to âautoâ or âhighâ. Anything below that, I feel is unnecessary and will cause the belt to stretch out faster. The brushroll does make a lot of noise when itâs hitting the carpet, and that is normal given how stiff the brushroll bristles are.4. The brushroll may wear out after a couple years. If the vacuum is going through too many belts, the brushroll may need to be cleaned or replaced. This isnât the end of the world, as you can buy the brushroll online. I actually replaced the metal brushroll in mine with a plastic one because it vibrates less, but I am keeping the metal one as a spare.5. Do not use knock-off bags, use genuine. And make sure they are the hepa cloth bags, donât use paper bags. I also donât like to fill the bags all the way up, as it makes the vacuum run a bit hotter, especially if I have been vacuuming particularly fine dust. But not everyone has a choice in that matter.6. Keep an eye on the hepa filter and the filter under the bag. After a year or 2, it should probably get replaced to keep the airflow going strong.Overall, this is an old-school carpet cleaning beast of a vacuum! It does require some attention, but it does clean carpet better than your average vacuum, and the filtration seems to be good.My tips about the belt changes also applies to most of the cheap Bissells, Dirt Devils, Eurekas, except the ones with dual motors. But they kind of expect you to just throw those away at those prices anyways, but you donât have to! I wish reading manuals was a requirement for vacuums at this price range, or like an introductory video, because if you only ever use certain types of vacuums growing up, there is no way you would ever know a belt needed to be changed.

Love this vacuum!
This is quieter and easier to maneuver than either of my last two vacuums. (Bissel & Hoover, bagless)The living room carpet was noticeably better after the first useâ and my dog stopped sneezing! The cord is much longer than my old one and the Simplicity lets me get under furniture so much better. The light is a big help too. I really love this vacuum!

Easy and light weight!
This is a wonderful vacuum cleaner. I had a Kirby but it is so heavy for a 77 year old to handle. This one has all the tools on board! No need to try and remove the front like the old Kirby. It is also a powerful machine and you can get the vacuuming done in half the time.

A Suction-Fueled Paradigm Shift.
To preface this: we have 2 huskies, and carpet. A deadly combination. Just getting close to the carpet, you can see how thickly engrained into the floor the white and black hairs are. Pinching the carpet, you can reliable come out with a handful of hair, and slapping the carpet, an ethereal cloud of allergy dust rises into the atmosphere. We have never found a vacuum that can tackle this problem with grace and efficiency. They clog. They fill up before we even tackle the living room. And above all, they always leave hairs behind, an eternal reminder of the lengths to which we will go for those we love. And yet.First impression of this vacuum was that itâs about as beautiful as a vacuum can get. Itâs simple, clean, and stylish. Our typical method of vacuuming is to slowly move our Bissell or Shark across the floor, hoping it will scrape up as much of our 2nd layer of carpet as possible, typically to little avail. But the Simplicity. Just as a trial run, we quickly vacuumed the living room, not spending too much time in any area. Just a quick test to see how capable this machine is. To test its effectiveness, we took the carpet rake to a high-traffic area. Typically, this results in piles of hair leaving the carpet, enough to fill up a Walmart bag for every 4 square feet. But this time was different. Scraping a large area of the floor, we could barely get enough hairs to cover a half dollar. The Simplicity, the gorgeous Simplicity, unearthed and contained months worth of buildup from the hairiest and the shed first of all dog breeds. We are stunned. Enamored. Obsessed. This vacuum is the real deal. We can already feel the difference in our sinuses. We can breathe. We can live. Buy this vacuum. You wonât regret it.
