Shop Vac Disappointment
The power on off switch has burnt/short-circuited. It no longer works. Very disappointed after just 1 year of service before having this problem.

The pump does not work!!
We got this because occasionally after a hard fast rain we get water in our basement we have an older Shop-Vac that has the pump so that when as the canister fills it pumps the water out. This one did not only it did a mist. Thinking this has to be a defect we returned it. Hope the next one works.

Pump works .
We use this in our basement when we get a lot of rain.If its a light rain the pump works great.But if you get a long, heavy downpour rain the pump will not be able to keep up and you’ll need to manually empty it every 15-30 minutes depending on how how hard it is raining.

ads are wrong! Does not have 8′ 1 1/4″ hose,
Advertised as coming with 2 hoses, a 6 foot two and 1/2″diameter and an 8′ one and a quarter. It also suggests you order 1and 1/4″ extension wands and a brush to match. There is no one and a quarter inch hose with this item, so these are useless. I tried to contact AMAZON to inform them of the errors but the customer service link is down. The vacuum itself seems good quality…time will tell, but the product (shop vac model 9601806) is very misrepresented on the Amazon site!

Nothing at all it was perfect for the job you would suck out of basement floor and have it pump out a hose at the same time in the sump pump or a window fantastic item

Kind of hard to figure out how to use as a pump
