Battery will not take a charge
This is a POS! Unpacked it, installed battery, worked for like 30 seconds then battery died. Battery put battery in charge and it will not take a charge!

You want a vacuum to actually vacuum…
I have a corded Shop-Vac for the garage – works like a champ. The Shop-Vac cordless has much less suction of the big boy in the garage. I was hoping to use it to get ladybugs off a 12’ ceiling, but after connecting 4 tubes to the hose, it won’t pull a bug off a ceiling from 1” away. I’ve used it to suck up water, and it’s better.

    Great gift!
I gave this as a gift for my father in law and he loves it! It’s easy to use, and works great for getting small crevasses in his car. The battery is decent and the suction is great.

    15 min. Shop vac cordless
Works good for suction and blower. Blower may last more than 15 mins. Suction probably last less. Battery pack charges fast but doesn’t last long while in useBattery pack is hard to find.

    Toss-up
I had a hard time deciding whether or not I liked this product, so I’ll give you the pro’s and con’s and let you decide for yourself.Pro’s: 1) Its small-ish size makes it useful as a car vac and for doing quick clean-ups in the shop; 2) Being battery operated is a blessing as compared to unwinding a long cord, finding a handy plug, tripping over the cord, and rewinding when you’re done; 3) It has decent suction and a tank big enough to hold, say, a pile of sawdust from an evening’s work; 4) It’s convenient to have the attachments on-board.Cons: 1) I put the vac in my trunk and left it for a couple days with a freshly charged battery. When I went to use it, the battery pooped out in 20 seconds. It was about 45 degrees out. 2) The manufacturer provides only one battery. Even at the optimistic 15 minute life before recharge, you are going to want a second battery on the charger to swap out 90 percent of the time; 3) The battery is not compatible with any of the major makers’ chargers. If, like me, your countertop is cluttered with different chargers, this is an unwelcome new guest. 4) While I applaud Shop-Vac’s engineers for trying to solve the problem of vac hoses that are like boa constrictors with a life of their own, their solution of basically a snake in a can really doesn’t work. I found it really awkward to try to vac the carpet in my car with that short and constricted hose. 5) While it’s nice to have the attachments on-board, there are only two, and not very good ones at that. The crevice nozzle is so short you really can’t get into any deep crevices, and there is no upholstery brush for doing car seats or whatever. 6) The vac is just a little heavier and bulkier than is convenient for small spaces. In larger spaces, like my shop, I’ve already got a vac. So, there it is. In my opinion, it is just not quite useful enough to justify its existence. But, if you just want a portable, cord-free vac to clean up small messes in large spaces, it may be for you. Just order an extra battery.Update 7/30/24: I am reducing my review from 3 stars to 1. After just a few uses the provided battery is completely dead. It will not accept a charge from the charger that came with the vac, so the product is now completely useless. I could order another battery, but the vac has so many other flaws that I’ve already replaced it with a better one.

Good Vacuum, On Par with Current Cordless 2 gal options, doubles as a Blower, Cumbersome Hose Design
I’m a big fan of the shop-vac brand! There is really a lot to be said about this vacuum, but I’m going to focus on what I feel at the important parts to mention. What I like: It’s cordless. All the accessories (minus the charger and foam sleeve) store on the unit. The wand seemed to be compatible with other vacuum accessories from other brands. The unit seals well to the dust bin and provides decent suction compared to other cordless shop vacuums from other manufactures including other leading brands, it seems to be on par. Run time is only 15 minutes per charge, which, although limiting, is not far off from what you get from the other cordless tool manufactures for vacuums this size/format. I like that it retains the wet dry capabilities just like the corded predecessors, and I think it is a neat option that it converts easily into a blower (simply by unlatching it from the top). I also like that it comes with a high efficiency pleated filter. It is a nice compact format which makes it very portable. What I don’t like so much: Although compact, I wish the top was more flat so when stored, other items would stack better with it/on it. I wish this had an offering to allow a filter bag to be used in it (though many cordless tool vacuums of this format do not have filter bag capability). I also wish they had included a bristle brush attachment. Although the wand keeps the hose tidy by turtling into a rigid shaft that clips onto the side of the unit for storage, this feature means the hose is not already installed in the port when you go to use the tool, adding a couple extra steps required to use the tool, it doesn’t seem like much, but usually when I need a portable shop vacuum, I am in a hurry. Also, because their is a rigid section in the middle of the hose, it makes the hose a little more cumbersome to use. I realize this feature allows the hose to double as nozzle for the blower function, but I would have preferred a normal hose that wraps around the unit rather than having to unlatch each end and then install in the port each time. The 2.5 ah battery is adequate for running this tool and charges pretty quickly (1 hr), but I would like to have a 4 ah or even 6 ah option. Despite some of the tools short-comings, I still think this a valid offering from shop-vac, and I trust that it will come with the long life that I’ve come to know from brand.

    I’m out $100
Purchased a cordless ShopVac and battery would not charge at all. They sent me a new kit. I charged it, used it once, and set it aside for a week. New battery will not charge now… I’m out $100 with a useless SHopVac in my garage….
