Poor quality motor
We selected this vac hoping it would be more effective than a slightly smaller version of a different brand. The suction is weak no matter what we try. And, it makes a very unusual high pitched metallic noise when moving the hose which is irritating.

Not what it used to be.
When my old ShopVac 12Gal finally gave up I ordered this one. Please be advised, this is a shrunk down version of the old 12Gal vac. It comes with a tiny little hose and tiny little attachments. My old 12Gal vac used to have a removable motor that you could use for a leaf blower. This is no longer possible. The hose on my old one was much larger (diameter). This one is very small. I’ll probably use it for the living room. I would not recommend it for a shop. It would probably clog up.
