Was a little disappointed that the power pet brush is sold separately, as I assumed it came with it, given this is the Pet Pro model, however, Customer Service at Shark was amazing, and I got the power head at a discounted price shipped directly to my door in Canada. As for the vacuum itself, I just did my little screened porch carpet, bare floors, and furniture, and I was amazed at the amount of dirt it picked up.Pros: excellent suction, power beater bar does an excellent job, love the swivel action which makes it easier to move it around, attachments are easy to connect and remove, hose and wand are early to detach and use.Cons: a little heavy, and it tends to fall over easily when using the wand in detached mode if you are too far from the unit. It also doesn’t seem to have onboard storage for all the attachments, only two, so other attachments have to be stored elsewhere, which is a little inconvenient. It also is a bit noisy.Overall, I would recommend it.

I recently lost my Dyson in a separation , I needed a vacuum right away because I have hairy dogs. The stuff that came out of my living room rug was disgusting and amazing. Obviously my last vacuum was not doing the trick. Only downside is that it is heavy to use on stairs. Love that it is good for carpet and wood floors with the touch of a switch.

This vacuum does everything it claims! I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 teens, plus a man! Having the long hose makes all the difference in the world. I really wish they would make the cord longer!Going to order another one and keep it in the box, so when this one finally gives out, I will have the perfect replacement!You won’t regret buying this vacuum!

Excellent vacuum cleaner that continues to perform, 2+ years later
Follow-up Review Fall 2021: I wrote my first review after owning this vacuum for a year and another year has passed and this little machine is still going strong. I love this vacuum as it makes my life so much easier and is so easy to use. I use this vacuum, every 1-2 days as I have a small home, 4 dogs and a lush yard with trees, flowers and grass. The dogs bring any and everything inside and this little vacuum has been used consistently, for the past 2 years, and every 1-2 days on a regular basis. It is absolutely wonderful! I love it so much, I am taking it with us in our RV. It not only keeps a house free of grass, leaves and pollen, it keeps dust bunnies, cob webs, dog hair on furniture and dust on dressers, etc, away. I use it to vacuum dust off of lampshades and it works beautifully. I cannot say enough about this vacuum and highly recommend it to anyone needing a small vacuum that is durable (I am rough on stuff) and can handle the amount of dog hair we have in this house. I love that it is easy to store and also easy to empty. You will not regret buying this handy little vacuum.First Review Fall 2020: I waited a whole year to leave a review and have to say I am highly impressed with this vacuum. While in a vacation rental for a week, the owner left behind the exact vacuum in the maid’s closet. After our first day there, I noticed our dogs had shed on the rugs and decided to use the vacuum cleaner. I was instantly in love as I had only used a Rainbow vacuum for the past 25+ years and never thought anything was comparable. I was wrong when I used this little guy. I came home and decided to buy one for my own home. Fast forward to a year later of ownership and this vacuum has been wonderful. Because of pet hair, I vacuum our house every 1-2 days. I use to Swift our floors daily and now with this vacuum, I just use it instead. Porches and all. This vacuum has held up and does an impressive job with not only pet hair, grass and leaves being brought in, dust from the base boards, closets, cabinets, drawers, furniture tops, dusting lamps, AC vents that get dusty, dog beds, cobwebs, etc. The only place I cannot reach is under the bed, but that was an easy solution as we just lifted the bed up to vacuum under it. When needed, I rinse the detachable chamber that holds all the hair and dust and then set it out to dry. I even wash the foam filter when needed and then let it dry. The amount of use this vacuum receives on a monthly basis, proves this is an impressive vacuum and I highly recommend.

Great Vacuum
Was bought for a elderly woman that was having trouble using the bigger household vacuum. This is perfect for her. Its Very lightweight and works as good if not better than your average household vacuum. Would buy again if needed. Imo 10 out of 10 stars.

The Answer is YES!
Iâve been on the hunt for a new vacuum for a while doing extensive research into affordable, quality machines. I was stuck between two Shark vacuums and I canât speak for the other but this is the BEST! Great suction and I love the fact there is a hardwood/carpet setting, and you can adjust the suction on top of that with a dial. We moved into this rental last weekend and fully vacuumed the bedroom pictured a week ago, with my old Bissel. (Left carpet as is, right after like two passes.) This was just from doing the one bedroom a week later, we donât own pets and this pulled up a lot of dirt and hair. I shed a lot of hair myself and I noticed hardly any wrapped around the roller which was nice. Very easy to push around on the highest suction. Not bulky or clunky to use, very slick. Pretty lightweight for carrying up the stairs, and easy to put together. The lift away was nice but will take some getting used to. The only âConâ would be that it doesnât have a retractable cord, but that is it! 100% would buy again,

A mixed bag after a couple weeks of use
The suction is very good. Vacuumed just one room and it picked up as much hair, dust and dirt as the old LG model did in 3 rooms. Speaking of LG, all mine needed was a simple roller brush, only to find out they discontinued making it. Maybe a blessing in disguise, as the Shark self-cleaning roller brush is a great feature.Back to the Shark model:The self-cleaning roller really worked – inside the dust bin, the dust and dirt went into one chamber, and all the hair collected separately on the center cone and slid right off when I went to empty.The cord is too short, and it’s placed too low on the machine, so it’s a pain to move around, change directions, etc. It was constantly getting in the way.The swivel head is helpful and the lower profile gets further under some furniture than our previous LG unit could.Tried the Lift-Away on a few carpeted stairs, but will need the full power of the roller head to properly clean the stairs. The L-A feature is probably better suited for furniture.The hose clip is pretty useless. The hose disengages from the wand after a minute of usage. Not a big deal – as the hose doesn’t really go anywhere once it’s loose. All the other click-into-place connections seem secure.The unit is definitely lightweight – time will tell if it also proves durable?This was a sold & shipped by Amazon purchase. They lowered the “Limited Time Deal” by $20 right after I bought it. Hopefully Jeff Bezos will read this review and issue a $20 credit…

This is an excellent vacuum
I have never been disappointed with a Shark product. This vacuum works great both on carpet and hardwood floors. Fantastic pet hair pickup. I enjoy the lift away features making hard to reach places so much easier to clean. Solid build and fast assembly. A definite winner!

Love this vacuum!
We purchased this to replace an old Hoover. Set up was easy and I was soon doing some cleanup. I was amazed at how much our old vacuum was missing, and within three uses, I had to clean out the cup as it was already filled up. Lightweight and easy to move, highly recommend.
