Great vacuum.
We have had this vacuum for a year today. It was very easy to set up and works as well today as when we bought it. We like the max setting because it picks up everything. It does have to stop and charge more often but we run it most when we are not home. The app is great and simple to use. The self emptying is great also. We can usually get 2 – 3 weeks before emptying the bin. Our son only gets 2. Weeks in the bin before emptying but he has 2 pets in the house and it picks up a lot of hair.

Works great
It’s easy to set up, map your house, and get it cleaning! I set it for auto timer so it cleans at the same time every morning! One thing to check off my list!It alerts you if it gets stuck somewhere/on something (I forgot to close a door to a room I didn’t want it to go in yet and it got stuck on something on the floor). Easy fix and it walks you through the process on the app. With 2 dogs, one who sheds short white hair, this machine is a game changer. It’s not extremely quiet, but not loud either. The side sweeper is a nice feature too, it gets baseboards ðIf you map then change things around, just remap the house. Easy peasy. It stays charged so battery life isn’t an peas.I bought this on prime days and it was a great deal.

Best one so far! Hard to clean though.
Edit: Shark found a chunk of puppy poo and scooped it up so efficiently that I had a hard time finding the spot it came from. However. Shark was EXTREMELY difficult to clean. My old Roomba had parts that popped right out, easily cleaned and sent back on the road. I spent a better part of 20 minutes with a scrub brush trying to clean the Shark out. I can’t take out the roller without a tiny screwdriver. The wheels have divots in them for traction, and guess where all the poo was? Instead of having a smooth underside where the dust bin comes out, it is grooved for no apparent reason. Had to take a point off because being able to clean it is important.I only got this yesterday, set it up, and charged it. When it reached 50%, it went out and did a mapping run. The rooms and dimensions were clearly visible on the app. This morning, I set it to start out at 8 am, and it did. The app said it would take about 80 minutes to clean the portions of my house available to it. It did a formidable job of getting rid of all the pet hair. I have four dogs and my daughters have between them 5 cats that shed like snow storms, all the time. There were balls of hair in every corner of the house. Shark got almost every one of them, and it had been several days since we have had a vacuum.I had a Roomba for about 3 years, and it did okay, but you couldn’t get it to do any discernable pattern, it just kind of wandered around, docked itself to charge back up, wandered around some more, all day long. It was loud and annoying. It died death by poop.I ordered a no brand name vacuum and mop combo that got decent reviews. This had no app, it came with a remote control. You could program it to perform patterns, but it was woefully under powered, and I had to send it back,The Shark is quiet, the app is user friendly, and – at least the first day – it did a really decent job. It follows a pattern, which you can set, and it got up all the dirt lying around. We have wood floors only, no carpets, so I don’t know how well it works on those. It has a “mega clean” feature that I haven’t used yet. I have it set to run every day. If things change, I will update the review.

Fantastic! Bad reviewers lighten up.
We had an Ecovacs N97 for YEARS. Our little ‘dinosaur’ compared to today’s tech did the job. This new vac is amazing in comparison! It cleans very well. The mapping program is crazy awesome! People say that it makes noise…yup, it’s a vacuum and they tend to do that. SMH. It’s a tank, it mapped almost with 100% accuracy, we can choose whole house, by room or a stubborn spot. It empties itself very well. If you want to drop $1k on a vacuum, knock yourself out. This does the job and does it well for a minimal expense. Buy it. Very happy customers here.

Did not last. Terrible customer support
Iâve had several Shark products over the years, and with each new purchase, Iâm left hoping that itâll be better than the last. For the brand name, I had hoped that replacement parts, service, durability and performance would be better but sadly I leave disappointed. They always start strong but never last. For this robot vacuum, it barely made it six months before the sensor went out and now it wonât even leave the charger. Iâve tried a hard reset, re-downloading the appâ¦hair constantly gets stuck on the rollers, the empty tray is too small, and in a lot of cases wouldnât even pick up small loose items like fragments of leaves. Iâve tried using the customer service options, like the chat feature. I had to input everything and waited forever to even communicate with a real person rather than a bot. Once I finally reached someone and explained the problem, they told me to call the service phone number and were completely useless. So I tried the number and after waiting over 2 hours, I hung up. Nobody ever answered. So I couldnât even repair mine and I am still under warranty!!! Now Iâm stuck searching for an entirely new vacuum. What a waste. Iâll never buy another Shark of any kind. Highly disappointed.
