Best Vacuum Ever
Two grades up from my previous Shark, the professional model is more powerful, more sturdy, easier to use, with spots for attachments that actually keep them in place, plus headlights and a longer cord. I got the refurbished one due to price and no problems with it. I love the touch of purple. I love the Shark brank for powerful, no bags, washable filters, and manuveurability. Recommended.

Love this vacuum! My grandma has one, and I liked hers so much I had to get one too! It works so much better than the cheapo Walmart one I have that sucks because it doesn’t suck ð. The attachments that come with this one are perfect for what I need it for in my apartment. The wand release is nice, and the reach is acceptional and I’m just under 5’3″.I have cats, so it’s very important that the suction is more than decent. The controls are super easy. The brush roll feature works great for what little carpet I do have, my door mats, and other rugs. Takes the cat hair right off! For my bedroom shag rugs I turn the suction down a bit with the brush roll, works great! I use this vacuum on all my floors though, without the brushroll feature on for laminate hard floors and tile. The brushroll seems to fling small amounts of debris on hard floors, but not enough to even complain if you choose to use brushroll on those style floors too. No funky smells coming from mine like in other reviews. We’re all here on this one to save some money instead of buying brand new. Worth it!! It arrived quickly, was easy to put together, and I no longer dread vacuuming!I did find out the hard way that the brush roll feature is too rough for very soft foam gym tiles. It left a couple marks before I quickly turned that feature off. My bad. So don’t do that. The lift away feature is convenient for stairs. Just watch which way the face is pointed when using attachments, have it face behind you. Otherwise it’ll blow the hair and dirt around that you’re trying to suck up. Sometimes I accidently move the suction dial while moving along and wonder where all the power went. User error ð . It’s fairly easy to clean the compartments and filters. Only thing that seemed sketchy was where the handle attaches to the wand. That part of the design could have been a little more solid, but despite my one concern while putting it together, it is holding up just fine. My grandma has had the same model for years, and hers is holding up great to regular use as well. I really can’t say anything bad about this model, which is exactly why I bought it! ⺠100% would recommend if you’re considering it!

Best Vac if you have equal carpets and hardfloors!
I’ve owned this NV501 for over 6 years. Recently a peice broke off (where the hose meets this L bracket) where without a 3d printer I could not replace. So glad there are “renewed” versions. Mind you I did buy a brand new Duo Clean M series shark and the NV501 performs way better for my situation.I have equal flooring with carpets and hardwood. My original NV501 had a wide floor attachment that made quick work of getting the hardwoods clean (must faster than sweeping). The suction power is just plain awesome. So i just replaced what was once broken and everything is good and easy to clean again!Keep in mind this renewed version DOESNT come with the attachment I am referring to so dont expect it but you can always buy it seperatly. These do come with some dings and scrapes as they are refurb but since you cant get these new anylonger this is the next best thing.Spent $500 on the newest and lastest from shark(Apex Duo Clean M), its great on the carpets, it is TERRIBLE on the hardwoods. I can feel debris on my feet after a clean vs this NV501.So the price is definitely right and performance as an all rounder vacuum is bar none the best!

This is my 3rd Shark vacuum
This professional model is extremely powerful.I turn off the rolling brush on bare wood floors and it picks up dust and normal debris easily. It seems to be light and very easy to work with on short nap rugs also.I also have what I don’t call long nap carpets. They are soft to walk on but not long shag type. When the vacuum rolls onto this carpet the roller brush initially pulls the machine forward until the suction takes hold and pulls the roller suction area down tight to the rug. It takes a noticeable push forward to move along the rug. I’m a 77 year old man and don’t have any trouble vacuuming my home with it. This machine takes more effort than the older Shark machines. The older machines allow removing the tank assembly from the suction pipe. The vacuum roller brush head remain on the suction pipe so you can easily clean under low furniture etc easily. These new Lift away machines remove everything from the roller brush assembly. You can easily vacuum stairs etc this way, but if you want to vacuum under low furniture etc you have to remove the suction pipe leaving the tank on the roller brush powerhead, and use the provided small floor attachment on the end if the suction pipe. Now that I am used to the machine I find I can vacuum in tight areas with just the floor attachment on the end of the suction pipe. I do recommend this machine with the caveat, it takes more push effort on longer nap rugs they the older Shark machines do, This machine also cleans a LOT DEEPER than the older Sharks did.

Wonderful Vacuum.
This is my second NV501 Vacuum. I really love this machine. I bought my first vacuum 12/15/2015.I’ve replaced a few parts on the old one. I was looking for a new one this year when I came by this refurbished one, I had just ordered 10 foam replacement filters so I knew which one I wanted. The first one came with a lot of stuff. This one is a newer model which will last me another 9 plus years. Thank you Shark for a wonderful vacuum.

This is a good vacuum do people with pets
It sucks! No it really does have a ton of suction. And itâs very functional if you need to remove a want to vacuum high shelving and trim. Works amazingly well pulling pet hair out of carpet and furniture. I do worry it wonât last long. Itâs all plastic. We handle it very carefully, but so far so good.
