Great For People With Arthritis – Worth Every Penny
I bought this after my old Shark (at least 15 years old) gave up the ghost. I am very happy with how light this cleaner is! It feels like it is about 5 lbs. lighter than my old vacuum, which is a tremendous relief for my arthritic hands and wrists, and with my aging back. The cleaning capability is excellent too, I’m quite impressed. I will sum up the pro’s and only one con I have noticed so far, below.******************************-Pros:- Light weight (12 lbs)- Excellent suction power- Has LED “headlights” which shows dust and debris not noticeable on the carpet and floors under normal home lighting.- Convenient Lift Away Feature- Comes with two attachable cleaning tools, handy for stairs, furniture and crevices- Easy steering and swiveling, which again, is great for arthritic hands and wrists- Dust Cup is very easy to lift off and empty- Self cleaning brush for long hair and or pet hair- Noticeably less noisy compared to old Shark model- Con:- The cord is about 5 feet shorter than my old Shark, but it is not a deal breaker. I’d say it’s still a good 15 feet long.

Our new favorite vacuum
We are really pleased with this vacuum. Itâs a fraction of the cost we paid for our previous vacuum which was a Dyson Animal vacuum. ( Our Dyson after many years died. We liked it but weâre just not wanting to spend the âDyson Price.) In Dysonâs defense I will say it probably would have lasted longer if I had cleaned the filters like I was supposed to do. ð¬( it also lasted 10+ years).Now with that being said, unlike our previous home we have area rugs in addition to carpet and hardwood. The Dyson was hard to use on rugsâ¦great suction for carpet but did not work great with rugs. So, I was looking for a vacuum that could handle rugs but also do the same job as the Dyson (suck up all the dust, dirt, and pet hai). Well the Shark LA502 does that, and I no longer feel like Iâm playing a tug a war with my vacuum when cleaning the area rugs. It also means the rugs are being cleaned more often! ðAlso, I love the detaching ability I have with it which makes it easier to vacuum the stairs and the upstairs rooms will now get vacuumed more often because it is way lighter to haul upstairs.I really canât say enough about this vacuum. I didnât think I would ever like another vacuum more than my Dyson Animal but I do! My husband loves the more reasonable price!

I love my Shark
This is my third Shark vacuum cleaner in 18 years, so I can attest that they last. My last one was the Shark DuoClean lift-away that lasted 7 years. Last week it decided to die and thankfully Amazon can ship it faster than Shark can. I have three dogs and the only vacuum cleaner that I trust is the Shark. Tonight, I put it to the test. I found pros & cons between these two vacuum cleaners. My biggest pro on this one is self-cleaning brush roller. I have long hair and I HATED having to cut, pull, and tug to get my hair out of the old brush roller! This one picks it great! The brush roller in the front of my old one picked so much pet hair that I would have to stop and clean it out, but that did not happen on this one, so that is another bonus. Another pro is the fact that I can use all the attachments off my old Shark, which allows me to have double the attachments. It has a lot of power, and it reminds me of a self-propelled lawn mower that is ready to take off and it makes it a lot easier to push, not that it’s heavy or anything. Upon reading the manual, I found out the headlights will indicate if there is a problem in the color and pattern of the lights, talk about a game changer! I’m going to have to keep the manual around if my Shark starts flashing out a SOS code, although I don’t anticipate that happening. The vacuum cleaner picked up exceptionally well and I had to empty it out a few times. My last pro is the anti-allergen dust brush. One reviewer made a video that pointed out it would be great for blinds, as well as the top & bottom of ceiling fan blades. I tried it tonight on the blinds and it was awesome! The cons: the cord length is 25 ft where my old one was 30 feet. That extra 5 feet was perfect for me, so now I’m going to have to plug in and move it to other plugs. I used to be able to do my entire house by using two plugs. I don’t know who at Shark made that decision, but I would love to have a word with them. This vacuum is larger than my other and I didn’t think anything about it, until I realized that I couldn’t get it into a couple of places that I could get my old one. And my last con may sound a little odd, but dust cup release is just the opposite of my old one, so when I click the button, it opens the other way, which almost caused me not to get it in the trash can. That is something I’m just going to have to get used too. Overall, I’m pleased with this new Shark and I look forward to using it for many more years.

Great machine so far!
I really like the performance of this vacuum! It’s easy to use and attachments are simple as well. I was able to vacuum a home that had a ton of dirt and dog hair very thoroughly!!The canister is a great size and the suction is consistent.I do wish the cord was a bit longer and it was a bit less messy when you empty the canister. The canister bursts open and sometimes flings the dust back on the floor.The brush does stop working on shag carpeting…I have a small area rug, so it’s not that big of a deal. However, I do have to turn off the vacuum to reset a few times while cleaning that rug.

Very Simple & Nice
It does come with 3 attachments as described. Depends on which item you choose, apparently, so, the one I chose did happen to come with 3 attachments. It comes with a crevice tool, pet multi-tool, and a self-cleaning pet brush. You do have to assemble a couple pieces to put it together, but it’s simple to do, and very nice when set-up is complete. Instead of bristles on the back brush-roll, it has fins instead. Very unique vacuum.

Just got this and have only used a couple of times; however, I have used all the features and attachments. Works great – zero complaints. Reasonably lightweight. Easy to clean out the bin. Love the lift-off feature and the incorporated wand – great for stairs, under beds/dressers. Did a dandy job picking up cat hair. Would highly recommend.

I vacuum regularly because I have 3 long hair catsand 1 short hair cats. As you can imagine there is cat hair everywhere! I was using the Bissell pet but found it wasn’t working very well. I just bought the Shark, it arrived last night and I vacuumed this morning. The picture attached is what it picked up the first time! I was so grossed out I vacuumed again!! It still picked up more hair! Amazing! I will never use another vacuum again! My carpet feels soft and clean!
