Broken vacuum
The base of the vacuum (neck) is not locking and the cover of the brushes doesn’t lock on one side so I lost the front brush roll in the process. I think the order wasn’t checked properly before shipping.now I have a $150 + vacuum I cannot use vacuum

I love it!
No puedo esperar a quitar esa sucia alfombra.

Not all sharks are great
I thought this was going to be the one. I was wrong. I was wondering where all the hair was going. It gets stuck when it gets sucked up. So once a day I have to unclogg it. To say the least I don’t like this shark. I’ve brought 8 sharks in the past 4 years.

Customer Service Lacking & Beware of Deceptive Replacement Parts Listings
As purchased and for fist 18 months vacuum worked very well. However the powered floor nozzle latch stopped catching like it should. Looking closely and after partial disassembly I saw that a cheaply made, plastic screwed attachment had broken so no fix. I went to the Shark site and found what I needed and ordered it along with what they call a prefilter kit, primarily because I wanted the plastic holder that is depicted on the page. Well . . . the floor nozzle comes without the front roller and cover as shown in the listing. I was OK with that because the old pieces were still OK. Still, that is not right and is deceptive. The “Filter Kit” contains only the elements which would have been OK if that is all that I wanted. Sharks response when I emailed them was “it does not come with the holder, sorry for the confusion!!!” I told them that they should not show items that they don’t intend to provide in the listing. Again “Sorry . . . .” They should show that item as ” two prefilter elements”!I’m done with Shark. The product is a good idea but cheaply made with no (and deceptive) customer service.

Nice if it worked! There is a reason so many are showing up refurbished: you might get mine!
I purchase this unit new at Costco. I understand now why so many are showing up refurbished. The good first: the soft roller up front does a fantastic job on hardwood. The light at the front of the unit is at a low angle and really helps spot dirt. The dust collector does a good job trapping really fine dust. The unit is quite maneuverable and does a good job getting dirt right up to the edge. The bad: the self cleaning roller claim is a joke. Sting and long hair still get wrapped around it and must be manually removed. The good here is that the roller is easy to get to. The really bad, my unit does not work properly. The roller and headlight keep turning off for no reason. The roller indicator light does not go from green to red, it goes off completely. If I shake it a bit, it comes back on. So I will be returning it. I have not yet decided if I will try the same model again.
