Meet the new Shark Detect Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum, IW1120. Its three ultra-intelligent deep-cleaning technologies detect and react to their surroundings. These breakthrough technologies boost power on hidden dirt, increase suction on edges and corners, and optimize cleaning on different surfaces, combining to provide up to 50% better dirt pickup*. (*Based on ASTMF608, Eco vs. Boost.) DirtDetect finds the hidden dirt that hides in your home, and automatically boosts power to pull it in. EdgeDetect senses edges and corners, and doubles suction power for more powerful cleaning (vs. Eco mode). Floor Detect reacts to different floor types around your home to optimize your vacuum’s performance on carpets and floors. The Detect Pro gives you full-sized* cordless power, in a 30% lighter** frame. (*vs. IZ862H.) (**Based on ASTMF608, vs IZ540H.) The PowerFins brushroll takes on fine dust and large debris on carpets and hard floors, with no hair wrap. The HEPA filter and Anti-Allergen Complete Seal capture and trap over 99.97%* of dust & allergens, keeping them out of the air you breathe. (*Based on ASTMF1977, down to .3 microns.) The powerful battery delivers up to 40 minutes* of runtime. (*In Eco mode, tested at the hand vac). Change the way you clean with the new Shark Detect Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum.

I LOVE THIS
Iâve been wanting a stick vac for awhile. I have 2 kids and a dog so I wanted something for easy, quick clean up. This is it! While yes, the battery isnât endless, it gets the job done! I can vacuum for about an hour before it dies. Thatâs enough time for me to do a quick once over in 3 bedrooms, the living room, kitchen, dining room and office. Itâs light, compact, easy to figure out. Being cordless, itâs just not gonna run for 5 hours straight. I feel like it charges fairly quickly tho and I love how easily it vacuums the stairs!!!

Never going back to a corded vacuum again!
Okay, so we have big needs when it comes to a vacuum. We have two large dogs, three cats (two that are long hair) and a toddler (plus me and her mom) all living in a 1000sq ft single floor home. We MUST vacuum daily. We have a robot vacuum that does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to daily vacuuming, but it of course doesn’t get crevices, furniture, doesn’t do well in corners, under cabinets, etc. So, we had a corded Bissell to take care of big messes, and what the robot couldnt get. We went through three of these corded Bissell over the course of two years. THREE. All failed after 8-10 months. Plus, being corded, it really didn’t get used as much as it should. Who wants to dole out a 25 ft cord to vacuum one piece of furniture? Or do clean up the dirt the dogs just tracked in? Yeah, nobody. So, we decided to try out a cordless. We settled on this shark here. We loved the fact it has auto empty feature. It may sound gimmicky, but let me tell you, it’s awesome! My wife especially used to hate emptying the bin on our old corded vac. Anyone with pets knows that when you let pet hair/dander sit in a vacuum for a week or two, it really starts to stink. So, the air coming out of the vacuum would stink, and emptying the bin in the trash would spread stink everywhere, along with dust and dander. The auto empty feature of this shark is awesome. Put it on the dock, and poof, everything’s gone and vacuum is ready to go for it’s next use. The amount of filters in the vacuum and the auto empty base ensures absolutely no smells or dust escapes. It is totally worth it and one of the main things we love about this vacuum. The vacuum itself is also extremely good. We were worried about run time and suction power, being cordless, but on auto mode we have enough battery to vacuum the whole 1000sq ft floor, plus do our big sectional couch. You’ll definitely use the battery quicker when the roller brush and suction are on high, but it seems to have plenty of battery for us. If you have a large home or lots of rugs/furniture, you may run through the battery quite quickly. Suction on this shark is great as well. It is as good if not better than our old corded Bissell. The roller brush truly is anti-tangle as well. Our dogs are starting their spring shed right now and even with all the hair we have sucked up, the roller brush is completely free of hair. This is the first truly tangle free roller head we’ve ever had on a vacuum. The only cons to this vacuum definitely aren’t deal breakers, more so just quirks. In detect mode, the vacuum is a bit slow detecting. It’s slow detecting amount of dirt, it’s slow detecting when it’s against an edge, and it’s slow when its detecting carpet or furniture. When I say slow, I don’t mean it takes forever, but if you’re vacuuming quickly, you can easily run across a door mat and the vacuum will just be kicking up the suction as you’re leaving the mat. If you vacuum a little slower on carpets or against walls, it easily detects them and will do it’s thing, but if you’re a quick vacuum-er, you’ll find the vacuum confused and varying the suction and roller speed constantly as it’s trying to catch up to what you’re doing. Also, another quirk, the wheels are smooth hard plastic. Our laminate floors are very slippery against smooth hard plastic. So, again if you’re vacuuming quickly, and you try to turn the vacuum, it’ll have a tendency to want to slide around. Not overly annoying, and if you just slow down a bit it’s not noticable, but some rubber coated wheels (like our old Bissell had) would go a long way to fixing this.Overall, this is a great vacuum. Battery life is on par for a cordless vacuum and is plenty for a smaller home, suction is great, auto empty dock is a must have. We find ourselves using this vacuum way more than our old corded model because it’s so easy to use. And, for the first few weeks, the auto empty is so fun to watch!

Nice!
Bought this a few months ago and very pleased with it. Has descent suction, lightweight, and we love the auto empty of the bin when it gets placed back onto the docking station for charging. Battery life is good at about 20 min run time. Don’t plan on vaccuming a lot of carpets with because this will drain the battery faster. Great for small rugs and tile or hardwood floors.

Ok but not great
I bought the Shark detect pro around a month ago and i usually like to wait about a month for reviews so i can get a regular use out of and not a first use high or first use disappointment.I want to state that i honestly do like this product i just wasnt very impressed for the price. i paid 300$ on sale for it I couldâve spent 48 more dollars at the time and bought the Dyson V8 would it have been a better deal? Iâll never know but I honestly wish i did im usually a fan of shark products and this vacuum had rave reviews on TikTok, on YouTube and in the comments at the time of buying they were comparing it to the Dyson Which is why i thought it would be a steal. I have another shark vacuum a cordless pet pro and it works wonderful it is usually not only less expensive then this but in a completely different we got it on clearance at meijer effort under a 100$ and it works amazing the vacuum head is much bigger on it then the detect pro which helps it more. I also feel like i might brake the detect pro it itâs a little unstable like you would expect a cheaper vacuum to be like the Homika. The auto empty system is the best part for me i hate emptying my vacuum becasue i sneeze for 45min afterward the hepa filter works pretty well on the auto empty system that burst of dust doesnât shoot up when you empty it from what ive seen.Do i believe that this was worth the money yes and no the vacumn is cute and light weight with good suction but has issues with picking up bigger items the quality is somewhat questionable. But if it is on sale i say get it its worth it, if its not i honestly dont know if its worth it i probably wouldnt have paid full price wouldve went for a pet pro instead or a Dyson at that point.

Vacuum is extremely wobbly on attachments and the self empty dock stoped working after only one use!Very disappointing! Lesson learned no shark fan anymore!Sadly had to return the vacuum, more disappointing is that Shark customer support never answered on my calls, emails, even my seller tried to contact them and nothing!
