Is it okay to love a vacuum?
This vacuum is fantastic! I’ve owned a Shark for over a decade, and it still performs flawlessly. I was in the market for an upgrade, and my current one was becoming increasingly dirty. The suction power is outstanding, and I’m confident my floors have never been this clean, which is great since I am a dog owner. It’s also lightweight and rolls smoothly. I was particularly drawn to the power lift away feature, which makes it easy to access under furniture and the extra attachments are a bonus. The only downside is that the light turns off, while using the wand, making it difficult to see what or where you’re vacuuming.Initially, I was skeptical about purchasing a refurbished vacuum, but it works just as well as a new one. Should this change, I’ll make sure to update this review.

    Love this vacuum!
The first time I used this, I was embarrassed about how much dirt and animal hair it picked up. Crazy!

    So far so good
My husband was hesitant about buying refurbished, but my early review is this:Everything was well packaged; additional components and instructions were included; the machine was spotlessly clean; it functions as expected and seems to perform well. There were a couple of very minimal light scratches on the handle. This should not be enough reason to dissuade anyone from buying refurbished when the machine will eventually bear marks if it’s continued use anyway. The refurbished version is $200 less than brand new. The precious Stratos AZ3000 is $100 more than refurbished at Walmart. So far, my decision to buy refurbished has been a good one. It is a bit heavy and with the swivel feature, it may be cumbersome for those who don’t have great strength in their hands. Switching for low or high pile helps ease the “push” needed.I haven’t used the attachments yet to be able to say how well they work; my primary use is for vacuuming floors anyway. It works great on hard wood as well.

You get what you pay for– missing parts, broken handle, hair in roller
I’m giving the vacuum a one star because is was missing parts and the ‘refurbished part” is needing more quality control. When I went to open the accessory pack, it didn’t have the Multi-Angle Dust Brush or the accessory bag. It wouldn’t be so bad, but to buy a multi-angle brush, it’s about $30. Those items just weren’t included. It’s a used vacuum. I guess my refurbished vacuum was more beat up than others. Even the handle that you use to push the vacuum is severely beat up and broken. I guess you get what you get and ours is one that was abused. We tried to push the handle into the spot where it is supposed to go, but no luck. I’m all around disappointed. We are fine with the refurbished part and the scuffs (there are many), but the missing parts and broken handles are a no go. See the pictures. There was hair in the brush, too. Isn’t this vacuum supposed to not have that problem. It was like it wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. The brush picture is right after we received it and opened the box. Maybe if you get a different refurbished vacuum, it won’t be so bad. I can say the vacuum is a bit heavier. It was fairly easy to assemble. It looks like it would be a good vacuum if it wasn’t so beat up.

    The Binford 9000 of vacuums.
This thing will suck the eyes out of a parrot at 15 yards, but I’m not sure where they put the Buick V6. “Renewed” was brand new out of the box, not a single scratch on it nor mote of dust in it. Immediately ran it behind my old heavy Kirby, and it picked up enough dust and dirt to fill the container 3 times. The Kirby was no slouch, but this clearly has some powerfully angry suction demons inside it. We have 3 dogs, all 3 blow coats twice a year, we are heavily into the first coat blow of the year and the brush ended up just as free of hair as it was when it started. Very impressive! Highly recommended.

    Very powerful
I would like to start off & say this is my second Shark vacuum. I absolutely love my other one, but i thought the features on this one would be amazing since i have 3 large breed dogs and the 1 sheds full clumbs of hair. I really did not have to replace my old Shark yet, but was sold on the features of this one! I received this in Jan. It had some scratches but nothing that alarmed me. Pretty much brand new.Man is it powerful! The suction, sucking power is so strong. I can not vacuum any rugs. It sucks them up and causes me to have to stop the vacuum and pull out the rug (which by the way are not cheap bathroom rugs). It has sucked up a phone charger & it’s own cord a few times and I have to stop it. ( have used the 3 different suction powers and all are strong)I like that I can remove the base and vacuum under beds… but… the canister is so lightweight that it falls over if you have to let go for some reason. Which can make it difficult to clean tight spaces. The canister & the dirt canister DO NOT slide on easy. I have to mess with it a few times before I can get it on. Very frustrating! The attachments… they are in the way if you use your vacuum in any way but upright. I finally just put them in the closet where I keep the vacuum. If you use just the lift away hose the attachments are usually in the way of putting it back together and makes it more difficult to vacuum with ease. The lights are bright, but I do not like how as soon as I remove the lift away wand the lights go off. I have a white dog, so his hair is hard to see with regular lights on, I usually depend on the headlights to get all his hair. My previous shark when I remover the lift away wand to get under things the head lights stayed on. Not on this model. They only work when in upright position or lift away to clean under beds/couches.Overall, it would be great for large areas with no rugs or small items on the floor. Gentle on my hardwood floors. The dirt canister is easier to clean and the internal filter in the dirt cup it easy to clean unlike the previous versions. The dual rollers .. LOVE them!! Again large breed dogs. Means a lot of hair, dried mud from 12 paws, and messy dry food eaters… all picked up with ease.Because of the powerful suction, it grabs more under the cabinets from front and sides.Usually took me 10-12 minutes to vacuum 1200+ feet of space, now because of the suction of everything (even its own cord) takes me 15-18 minutes to vacuum because I’m constantly stopping to shake out the rugs (before vacuumed them without picking up each one), making sure ever cord is up off ground and items in general that you don’t want in a vacuum.
