Great Little Machine
It took buying 3 of these over a few months time to find the right one. Amazon has been great at letting me send them back each time. Each one worked differently in many ways. The first one didn’t map very well. The second one was just crazy, going in circles most of the time. This one, (AV2501AE), does a much better job mapping our house and gets better every time it runs. I was not sold on a “renewed” model, but this one was like brand new and more affordable as a bonus. No wear whatsoever. Great little machine.

No instructions
Even though it was refurbished, “excellent condition, no instructions…luckily I have a savvy grandson who was able to connect it. As he tried to start it kept saying there was a blockage underneath, checked…nothing. Didn’t matter if it was on tile or carpet. I sent it back, I cannot always depend on my grandson who is a whiz with computers. Never did get it moving.

Works great
Iâve been using this for 4-5 months now. It works great. I have 3 cats and it isnât great on getting hair off carpets. I would recommend it for hard floors. It runs every day and only has issues probably once every couple of weeks. It gets hair stuck, but is easy to clear. I would buy it again just for itâs ability to clean the cat litter off the floors

Had to get a new shark as the old one broke. This one is great, it cleans the whole house and gets every last inch. Love the self empty

NOT A DEPENDABLE PRODUCT
When the sidem works it’s great, When it stopped working , I called customer service. Neither the warranty company or amazon could resolve my issue. They told me to buy a new vacuum and use it While waiting for a decision to be made after I send mine back for review. This is not a warranty, They offered no other paths for resolution. This was not a safe thing for me today to do. Very upset with amazon as well as the protection plan company. ð

Maps well. Did not pick up small pieces. Did good on dust.
Didnât map for second floor. I took by hand put in bedroom shut the door and let it go. I tell it to clean dining room be kitchen every night after supper. Saves dust pan bending over. Works pretty good on that .

I have dogs. Doesn’t get all The best with dog hair but well worth it
For you dog owners, you are going to want to run your mapping twice. First time grab your camera and record your dogs first time reaction of Shark. Thank me later. LOL
For the second run/those who donât have pets, make sure you (and pets) are not following Shark around. This will mess up your mapping (as I learned when the dogs were reacting). From the way I understand it, Shark uses sensors to map. If the sensors pick you (or your pets) it will think you (or your pets) or obstacles. Also make sure anything that is not basically a permanent object, or Shark can fit under, is up off the ground (ie: any toys, bins, baskets, pile of cloths, etc) to get a full map of your house. Shark can transfer to clean those play mats that go together like a puzzle too.
I own 2 dogs. One is half Husky, and the other is a Rotten Rottie. I cannot keep up with the fur, so I brought in assistance to help me. Introducing Mama Shark (if you have a child in your life or know a child you get the reference). Mama Shark was brought in to eat up a lot of the dog hair.
The first run Mama Shark went on, there was rooms in different stages of âcleanâ. From cleaned the evening before to a few weeks. Yes, I was drowning in pet fur, and had let it go. If you have pets, you understand the struggle. The room that had been cleaned the day before, Mama Shark did pretty good at picking up what had been shed in the hours between cleanings. Mama Shark did NOT get the hair or dirt along the walls/edges. The rooms that were a few days to a few weeks, Mama Shark needed help with. Not surprisingâ¦
Donât judge your Shark on the first cleaning, the longer Shark works the better on top of the cleaning Shark will be. Be sure to pick up any small items before Shark is cleaning, if you havenât picked up small items it will give you an âErrorâ message. Shark does clean around trash cans and larger items, as long as Shark doesnât get stuck. The first few runs, you might want to consider being home for.
Although Iâm not in Love with Mama Shark, I do find her a good Helper. Shark does not dust, pick up after you, do laundry, or dishes; but what Shark doesnât do, is not to horrible to have to do. I do one room for each day of the week, I dust and mop. Mama Shark does the rest.
