This review is for the Sanitaire EUK5745B Hepa Upright Vacuum. The difference is the A or B at the end. For some reason when I go to my order history, it shows the EUK5745A even though I bought the B version. The good things are obviously the long cord, you only need to plug it in one or two times and get to most of the house. The second good feature is you don’t have to deal with bags–it’s easy to empty. The only hassle is shaking and pulling hair off the filter. The suction power is pretty dang good. There are three cats, and three girls in the house with long hair. Let me tell you, it picks up everything. Of course you will have to clean the spinner on the bottom as with any vacuum. You can adjust the height which is an awesome feature. I don’t use it on hard surfaces, so I cannot tell you how well it works. The hose isn’t too bad. Suction is good, sometimes falls off if you don’t evenly space the hose (it’s heavier but durable hose). Customer service is nice, I called because I forgot to put a couple screws in during assembly and the handle kept falling off, and they sent me the correct parts for no charge.For the cons, which isn’t much, is that it’s a bit heavy and loud. I always wear ear plugs for loud appliances inside or out, so it’s not an issue. Toddler sleeps through it because it’s white noise. If you’re older or have shoulder/rotator cuff issues, I wouldn’t recommend this vacuum.Something to remember, replace the belt every few months, depending on use. I went over two years without changing it, and I noticed when I saw it was barely picking up anything. The belt is easy to access. There are three screws on top of the red cover, two in front, one in the back (right side looking down from the back). You’ll have to take the spindle out, make sure you put it back in the same way. I got away with changing the filter after a year, I recommend every 6 months depending on use. You can only shake it so many times. Love the long cord
This product is amazing. It works great. We have had it for a few years now and I would definitely buy another one if this one ever plays out. Shipping was a little slow but the product is worth the wait. I would definitely recommend it.

I have been using the vacuum in my home for 3 weeks now and absolutely love it! I vacuum every day seeing I have a shedding dog and 3 boys. Even though the body is plastic, its seems like heavy duty plastic. Loving the attachments that are easily accessible. The carpet height adjustment is manual but no problem for me. And being bag less is a big plus. The first time I decided to empty the large cup holding the filter and carpet yuck was easy until I tried to put the cup back in. I didn’t realize I had to push down a tab on the cup to have it fit back in correctly. After that, no problem. Its not as loud as my last vacuum but I believe all vacuums need to have some noise for it to be able to run. It picks up dirt, dog hair and bird seed with ease. I also have a cockatiel that can be messy at times. Edge cleaning is also great. The vacuum is on the heavy side, 21 pounds, so I get my daily workout every day, but it does glide along carpet with ease when set at the right carpet height. I am hoping this will be the last vacuum I own with regular care and maintenance. I would highly recommend this vacuum.

So I hate to leave negative reviews but my office cleaning lady hates this vacuum – she says its too heavy and her arms – neck and back hurt when she is done – and she says it is really challenging and awkward to change the bag. Well I have not tried it but she begged me to return it after the first time she used it – I asked the company if they would take it back and they said no not after it has been used… So I just thought I would share this info. Sorry Sanitaire. However, the suction is great and it does operate as advertised. We use it in a very busy office and it does a good job. I guess the only cons are the comments my cleaning lady has said about it. UPDATE: I have to add to this because, although I won’t change the fact that my cleaning lady still hates this vacuum, I will admit that this company who sold this has good customer service. Although they would not let me return it after one use, it did break after about 8 months or so, (I think it was just the belt) and the man who owns the company drove out to our office and fixed it for us for free then delivered it back to us and included a few new belts for us to have on hand. I think he was trying very hard to make us happy and it was lucky that his office isn’t far from where our office is. So I commend him for this!

this vacuum does an awesome job for me at work. vacuuming 7 days a week at a bar/restaurant. highly recommended! awesome customer service as well.
