Great product for a Great Vacuum!
So, before I ordered this, I ordered a battery converter to be able to use the 40v batteries that go in my cordless GreenWorks Push Mower, because the original Dyson battery was definitely showing its age and I could not use the vacuum on MAX suction but for, at best, 15 seconds. The battery converter is not through this brand, but I mention it because I now can use 40v batteries on the 20v Vacuum Cleaner and can get a lot more use out of it, especially on high. Once I ordered the converter, I noticed that the soft brushes on my roller were starting to show wear, and decided it wouldnât be a bad idea to go ahead and replace the beater bar. This beater bar does fit, you just have to push it in place. It is not that it does not fit flush, it is just a tight fit, so you have to push it in place. Not hard, so you know it is made for your Dyson V6 or whatever you ordered it for (V8, V10, etc.) It is high quality and I can even notice a difference it how fast it pulls up pet hair off of my rugs. I highly recommend this brand for your vacuum needs. They shipped promptly, the item was as described, and if I have any problems, I know that the company will help me when i reach out to them. Ignore all the bad reviews, buy this to make your Dyson better!!!- Peyton

Fit great on my Dyson v6 stick vacuum
Exactly as described. Needed a little bit of a push to get it to close on but works great!

What is the trick to make this fit?
The roller seems the same as the original one included with the vacuum. It is the same size but something must be different inside because I have had problems getting it to fit and “click” into a locked position. I am using it but occasionally it pops out. The locking mechanism does not turn as far as it should to firmly hold it in the vacuum head. Others have mentioned the issue and I keep trying to see if somehow I am inserting it wrong, but so far it does not fully lock in place.

It fits but check the cap
READ FIRST_________The New Brush Did Not Fit At First. Then I noticed the old end bearing on the old brush had broken off-In the end Cap(The one you take off to remove the brush). Took a phillips screwdrive and worked the old/stuck bearing out of the end cap. Then installed the cap over the bearing on the new brush. Then reinserted the new brush, with the old end cap attached to it, back into the housing and used a quarter to lock it in.

Itâs too big
I bought this for my Dyson v8 animal. It attaches fine and seems good but as soon as I try To run it on the higher âmaxâ setting on carpet it wonât work. When examining closer the bristles are too long or maybe the cylinder is just slightly too large but it wonât work. It will run on low but that barely works on my carpet.
