Pet Owners, You Need This!
This vacuum was on sale a few months ago and I purchased it for my mom’s Christmas present. She’s been wanting a Roomba for a while but couldn’t justify the price tag and I simply couldn’t afford the dang thing, so this was my chance to get her something way more affordable. We have 2 inside dogs – one with short, white, wiry hair that shows on every surface and the other has minimal shedding but it’s *there* even when we can’t see it. My mom simply wanted something to get the surface-level messes and crumbs, and of course, the accumulation of dog hair in the nooks and crannies of the baseboards. This thing will get it done and actually do it well enough you don’t have to go behind it and redo its job. The charging dock is fairly minimal so it sits nicely next to our pantry in the kitchen, out of our way but still in a convenient “home” spot. Our kitchen/den area is leveled so the robot can only stay in the kitchen and main living area since it doesn’t have off-roading wheels and can’t jump cliffs, but that’s the main room my mom spends her time sweeping and mopping anyways.The vacuum has a convenient app you can control it from and a remote in case you aren’t tech savvy. After it runs it’s course the first time, it’ll map out the room it’s in and you can set it free from there. I’d watch it the first time though, especially if you have lots of furniture because it can get caught up on some larger pieces. We fold up the edges/corners of our rugs and take up our barstools since they have skinny legs and it runs just fine. The suction is great despite its quiet motor and you can set timers for it to run at a certain time or for a certain duration. The mopping feature was honestly just a plus for us, but it does work well. We’ve only used it with warm water and Dawn soap, so I can’t vouch for a true comparison versus a manual mop. It does leave your floors looking nice and streak free, and you can wash the mop cloth and reuse it a few times before throwing them away.If you’re thinking about buying this product, do it and never ever try to justify a $600 Roomba if you haven’t previously had one. I’m sure if you already have a Roomba or another name brand robot vacuum then this won’t satisfy you, but to us lower-class-vacuum people it’s a whole new world. Lol. All this to say, you need this in your home – especially if you have pets!!!

This is the first robo-vac I’ve ever had. I needed something that I could use to vacuum the house while I’m recovering from shoulder surgery and unable to push the larger vacuum.This little bot has a couple of different modes. I was blown away but the one where it “edges” your room. It really takes this mode seriously! It did a better job than I ever did while pushing my big vacuum. That alone made me happy. It did well on flat surfaces, tile, cement. It also did well on thick throw carpets and carpeted bedrooms.Pay attention to it upon your first use. Mine got stuck under a bed where I have the compressor for my Sleep Number bed. I tried to be prepared and put boxes in front of the compressor, but, this little bot is STUBBORN!!!!!! I had to tape cardboard boxes together the entire width of the bed and put it under the bed to prevent Bot from trying to vacuum the compressor.Also, be careful with any loose cords. I took toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls, taped them together and covered the cords. This may not look attractive, but, I don’t care, it works. I could always cover the cords with an old vacuum hose, or other type of hose. But, it doesn’t bother me.This got stuck trying to get underneath a rocker, recliner. Had to position a cardboard box there, partially sticking it under the recliner so that Bot will get the hint.Sometimes, this little thing seems to have a mind of its own, or it looses its mind. Either way, I’m entertained and it does a good job.OH, we have a cat, and when the Bot finishes any one room, I do empty out the little container that catches the dust, dirt, fur and them move on to the next room.The only complaint I have is the filter. It never looks clean. I’ve tried brushing it with a toothbrush, even sprayed it front and back with water, it still looks dirty. Not sure if it’s compromising the effectiveness of the unit.I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
