Easy to use!
This was very easy to use! I didnât make a mess at all and it worked.I had tried a different siphoning cleaner that was basically just a tube, it was so tricky- and I made a mess in the process. This one was great though!

Works Very well; big improvement over others I’ve tried
After having the same issues over and again with other types, I decided to take a chance with this one. I am very impressed. You have to pump it a lot, but what’s good is the suction is controlled, so it doesn’t just get started and then rapidly siphon out water. This is great, because you can direct it to the messy areas, the waste bucket doesn’t fill up as fast, but you’re getting to the worst stuff quickly. It doesn’t clog up very much either. The clips hold it in the bucket (unlike my other set-up that all of a sudden, the hose popped out and yucky water ended up on the floor. I really like it, and the seller shipped it out quickly. I think I’ll get another one – because this is a winner, but you never know about availability in the future, so now that I got something that works, I don’t want to ever go back to searching and trying out, and wasting money on useless products!

Not great for the long run
The QZQ Aquarium Gravel Cleaner seemed like a great tool at first, but after a couple of uses, I started noticing some issues. Initially, the suction worked well enough to clean the gravel in my tank, but after a few uses, it began to lose its power. It became harder to effectively clean the tank, and I found myself spending more time trying to get it to work properly.Another downside is the pumping action. While it’s supposed to make the cleaning process easier, I found it uncomfortable for my hand, especially during longer cleaning sessions. The grip isn’t ergonomic, and my hand would start to cramp after a few minutes of use. Itâs not the worst cleaner out there, but for the price, I expected more durability and comfort. If you only need a short-term solution, it might work, but I wouldnât recommend it for regular, long-term use.

I keep a clean and pristine tank. I have a battery operated pump for water transfers but wanted to be able to do gravel siphons to really get the crud out of the gravel. WOW! As clean as my tank is I was really surprised at the amount of debris this sucked out of the gravel. About once every six weeks I do a tank tear down which includes washing the gravel. This will help the tank, filter cartridge, gravel, glass and decorations stay cleaner longer and obviously be better for the fish. Take your time and go slow. I use this to siphon the gravel and water goes into a 5 gallon bucket and use my other battery operated pump to put fresh water back in the tank from the bucket. I just received it and have only used it once so far, construction seem solid.

It made cleaning my 10 gallon tank sooo easy. The size and suction power seems like it will handle my new 55 gallon just fine as well. the price is good. My reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that it feels a little flimsy. I don’t know how confident I feel about being able to use it long term. If it manages not to break after a few months, I will definitely change it to 5 stars. Bonus, it came with a stick on thermometer and a small (also flimsy feeling) fish catching net.

Don’t usually bother with writingreviews but in this case feel I have to.When it arrived, thought just another gimmick I’d fallen for- how wrong was I! This simple tool ticks every box and works a dream. Transformed my tank in 20 mins. Cannot praise highly enough! If you want to get the crap out of the gravel/ stones at the bottom of the tank this thing simply works.

I have had a few of different versions of these now and this is my favourite.Comes with clamps to reduce flow so you can clean your substrate without taking too much water out too soon.Only downside is feels a bit cheap but it works

This really does the job. I have more expensive ones that are unusable. This is brilliant. makes gravel cleaning while doing a partial water change so easy. No more sucking mouthfuls of water, this has a great siphonic action pump . Great purchase. The flow rate is ideal. fast enough to lift muck from the bottom, without draining the tank too fast.
