Tank siphon
2nd time I buy this and it works great. I have a 40 gallon turtle tank. This is the easiest way for me to remove most of the water before I transport the tank outside for a full wash. I use it for both the turtle tank and the fish tank. It is manual labor. As in you have to sit there and pump and it can get a little tiring, but it works great. Have yet to find something that is affordable were I don’t need to manual pump. This does the job.

Easy to use and effective
This absolutely wins over dirty fish tank water accidentally in your mouth. Bleh! It was so easy to use and easy to put together. Perfectly sucked up the crap on the gravel without sucking up the gravel. Makes changing the water and cleaning the tank so fast and easy.

I was so scared I thought this product would not work and it did. It cleared most of the dirt and sure saved me time and stress. So happy I found this product and so affordable too.

Oh my goodness this device is a gamechanger
Oh wow !!! I hated changing my fish tank it was a long tedious process. This made it so much easier quicker and less messy.I had to tweak it to work for me definitely worth the buy

One serious problem …
Worked just fine for siphoning water …. the problem is that after just a few months of light use the black handle/pump assembly developed cracks in the seams on the output port area. CHEAP and POOR QUALITY plastic used. I am going to try this item once again but this time I will use a couple of SS hose clamps to hopefully reinforce the flawed output nipple, but I’m not going to hold my breath waiting on success! Will edit this review if it works.UPDATE: Got a second one and it split exactly where the first one did … so it is a product flaw. I used the hose clamps. It still leaks all over place but is sort of useable. I wouldn’t buy another one!

Suction is not very great. Should be OK for smaller aquariums.
The hose is very small (Probably an inch). This is ok for smaller aquariums. But is not ok with larger aquarium. My older one of same kind got brittle and got a crack in middle. So, purchased this. But since it is not good with my bigger aquarium (37 gallon), I returned this and took a normal siphon which is working very good.

You might need to pump it fast to get it working.
I just used a small trash can on the floor. And you can stop it anytime. It comes with a pinch tool to help. As it clamps onto the side of the trash can to keep it in place. Easy-to-use. Just a heads up. It doesn’t pick up the gravel as well as others.
