More of a Run-Around Than a Cleaner
With all the promises of powerful suction and smart mapping. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The 4200 Pa suction is nowhere near as strong as advertised. It struggled to pick up even the lightest dust and debris, making it more of a run-around machine than a functional vacuum. I kept finding dust and pet hair left behind, even after multiple passes.The navigation and home mapping were supposed to make it more efficient, but it seemed to get lost or repeatedly miss spots. The self-emptying feature was a big draw, but with the vacuum barely picking anything up, it felt like an unnecessary add-on that didn’t get much use. Additionally, the robot kept running into wires, or getting stuck under my floorlight feet.I also tried using it on carpets, thinking maybe it would handle those better—no luck there either. Pet hair, crumbs, and even the smallest particles were still visible after the vacuum had “cleaned.” I wanted this to be a time-saver, but I found myself having to do manual cleanups after it ran. It’s frustrating to invest in a product that simply doesn’t perform. For now, it’s just taking up space and doing little to nothing to keep my floors clean.

Da wir schon jahrelang auf die Unterstützung im Haushalt durch Staubsaugerroboter setzen und meine Frau eine Hausstauballergie hat, war klar, dass in unserem neuen Eigenheim mit mehreren Etagen ein weiterer Saugroboter her muss. Wir sind uns darüber bewusst, dass man mehrere Karten für verschiedene Etagen speichern kann aber die Vorstellung den Robo täglich mehrfach hoch und runter zu tragen hat uns die Entscheidung für ein Zweitgerät leicht gemacht.Wir haben uns für den Q8 Max entschieden, da wir unbedingt eine Absaugstation wollten – nichts nervt mehr, als ständig den kleinen Behälter zu leeren. Wir verwenden dem Q8 nun im Erdgeschoss, da hier der Lebensmittelpunkt der Familie ist und somit der größerere Reinigungsbedarf. Unser alter Roboter darf auf seine letzten Tage noch oben werkeln.Die Einrichtung über die App verlief völlig reibungslos, und der Roboter hat die Karte unserer Etage super schnell eingelesen. Besonders beeindruckend: Trotz aller Hindernisse (insbesondere unserer neugierigen, einjährigen Tochter) ist er noch nie die Treppe runtergefallen. Der Kollisions- und Absturzsensor funktioniert also tadellos und weicht Hindernissen sowie kleinen Kindern sicher aus – ein Punkt, der für uns besonders wichtig ist.Die Saugkraft ist gut und erledigt bisher auch Teppiche problemlos. Die Wischfunktion ist besser als bei unserem älteren Modell, auch wenn meiner Meinung nach kein Saugroboter einen richtigen Wischmopp ersetzt, wenn es mal um hartnäckige Verschmutzungen geht. Dafür ist er aber super für den Alltag.Unser persönliches Highlight: Die Absaugstation! Wir wollten einen Roboter, der uns das Entleeren so lange wie möglich abnimmt, und das schafft er auch. Je nach Staubaufkommen reicht die Station tatsächlich bis zu 7 Wochen – wie angegeben! Hut ab!Ein weiteres Plus: Er kommt unter so gut wie jedes Möbelstück – Bett, Couch, Kommoden, alles kein Problem. Er ist auch relativ leise, sodass er niemanden stört, selbst wenn er durch den Raum gleitet. Wir haben den Roboter teils für die frühen Morgenstunden in der App vorprogrammiert und bisher ist niemand davon aufgewacht wenn er sein Werk verrichtet während wir noch schlafen.Wir sind mit der Preis-Leistung rundum zufrieden und würden den Roboter jedem empfehlen, der eine bequeme Lösung für durchgehend saubere Böden sucht.
