Great Vacuum! The Wand DOES stay in place, if you lock it in properly.
So I have only used the vacuum once so far, but already I can say that there are a lot of things I love about this vacuum, and I am also relieved that the very few not so good reviews were not true, at least not for me. One review made mention of this not being a great option for short people. I am a 5’4″ male and was concerned the the length of the wand was going to be too long at it’s minimum length, but that’s not the case at all. It’s a great length and I’ sure for taller people as well.Another concern was the hose attachment fit quality. It seems as though as long as you follow the instructions, there isn’t much that will go wrong. I did notice one bit of functionality with the lever that locks the wand in at the desired length that is fantastic but if you don’t know what you’re looking at could give someone the idea that it doesn’t get tight enough to hold the wand at the desired length. This I believe is the source of all the people claiming that the wand doesn’t stay in place. There is a friction lever that holds the wand extension into the other end of the wand. If all you do is flip the lever over at the factory setting, you aren’t going to get any tension. There is a nut that you can tighten with your fingers on the lever device, and that dials in the desired diameter, then when you get it close enough, the lever cinches down and provides the needed grab.This vacuum made my vacuuming so much faster than lugging around my regular vac to do my baseboards and stairs. I can’t believe I waited this long to get this vacuum. Also the cord is 50 feet long, and cut down the number of times I had to move the cord from at least 4 or 5 down to 1 time. I will update this review as I experience more that I love about this machine. Highly recommend.

Over promised & under delivered
So disappointed. I would say this vac sucks but that would be too much of a compliment, considering. I have a commercial cleaning company, specializing in industrial (warehouses) and medical offices. I initially was going to order the cordless model from the manufacturer. So glad I didnât.It had great suction and worked with all attachments for about 20 minutes. Then poor suction.There is a major gap between the canister and the motor. I found the perfect sized rubber gasket to fill the gap and still the only attached that had full suction was the angled tool.It doesnât give the nice âjust vacuumedâ lines in the rugs or low profile carpet and it doesnât pick up popcorn kernels off the hardwood (only with the tube/angled accessory). I was ready to buy 5 of these so glad I tried it out first. I returned this WITHIN THE WEEK of purchasing it.

Great product
I got this product to do steps and corners and reach the areas my vacuum could not. I am 5â5 60 yr old women and of small build I can easily put this on my back and walk all four floor with the incredible long ext cord. The power of the unit picks up every thing and donât worry if you pick up that lighter like I did you just have to remove the top hose so it is easy to get it out. It also works great in the garage and for your truck. Every one needs one

Makes vacuuming a quick and easy task
We just replaced all of our carpet with hardwood oak flooring. With the grain and grooves, every small spec of dust seems to appear out of nowhere. Using the Prolux vacuum, I can finish cleaning 2700 square feet in less than 30 minutes. And all of the dirt is gone!This vacuum has great suction power, and exceptional filtration. We needed a vacuum that did not have a moving brush or beater bar because those could damage the hardwood. The Prolux fit the requirements completely.We spent almost a month searching and looking at vacuums in every store in San Diego. None of them came close to the Prolux in performance specifications and none had the price value.It’s easy to wear on your back, and once you get used to it, you’ll forget it’s there. The motor is very quiet. Emptying the dust catcher and cleaning the filters is literally a snap; everything snaps together with precision fit. There are attachments for just about every task you can think of. The metal wand has an adjustable telescoping feature for hard to reach places. The floor attachments swivel to get under furniture better than any other vacuum I have owned.Before purchasing, I had a few questions and the customer service folks at Prolux got back to me immediately. We are so happy we bought the Prolux and look forward to many years of dependable operation.

Does everything as described and fairly lightweightI was missing having a power head but the 300 plus cost isnât sustainable for the amount we would need itThis machine does have a wider than normal wand size 1.5â as opposed to 1.25â but i was able to find a turbo carpet attachment that fits so much happierCanât speak to longevity as only had it about a month
