Great product, reasonable cost
Great product, EXACTLY what I was looking for.It’s truly a dual filtration pad that you can cut to size.The reason why this product is exactly what I wanted is that I wanted something of a dual density type pad that wasnt to thick. Not to many companies offer something like this, actually this in the only one I found.This is the perfect product for those who use filter pads in powerhead type filters, or some hang on the back filters such as the excellent SeaChem series of hang on back filters to add additional filtration.It’s a dual density pad that is thin enough for a whole rage of uses.You place this pad so the white side faces the water flow first filtering out larger particles and the pink side for the water to flow after to catch smaller particles.

This filter media actually worked really good and made my water exceptionally clear. I use it for my fancy goldfish tank and it handles their bio-load just fine.

Keep coming back to Pinky
Wish I got more in a roll for cheaper when I placed my 1st order, so I tried a few other brands thinking it wouldnât be that much of a difference,, WRONG .. guess you get what you pay for,, So I will always keep coming back for this brand,, Well worth it..

A little more work, a lot of savings
Buying this was something of a leap of faith, but for ten bucks it seemed like it was worth it. I have used Marineland filters, which work extremely well and I can recommend them. But, they seem to clog quickly (which I assume means they are working) and have to be replaced. This gets a bit pricey.SO, I took an old filter, ripped the filter off the plastic backing with pliers, washed out the old charcoal particles, and used the plastic backing as a stensil. I used kitchen shears to cut the Pinky filters to size using the plastic template. I got a perfect size fit, no waste.Putting the now clean plastic backing back into the pump filter slots, I just slid a cut Pinky filter into place in front of it. No rubber bands, no fuss, the water holds it in place and the sides also just hold it snug.These filter great. I had no leaching of colour or anything, they just filter the water and I can change them as often as I think necessary for literally pennies. If you don;t mind spending some time trimming the wide sheet of filter material, or if you have kids you can get to do the cutting, this is a terrific solution for fish tank filtering.Six stars.

Great filtration (nano reef)
I cut the floss into squares for my trigger systems sump and run it as a pre filter before the sock. Greatly improves the life of the sock and visibly removes all food/poop. Great product!
