Versatile
This telescoping duster removes cobwebs from the ceiling, then cleans the baseboards. You can clean a room from top to bottom with one handy tool. Its large surface is a dust magnet and its long fibers get into tight spaces like air duct covers. I bought an extra refill so I always have a clean duster on hand. I use it in the house, in the car, anyplace where dust accumulates. Great product!

works well & easy to clean
Very happy with this duster. I had a few concerns going in, and here’s what I found:1) Ability to pick up dust & cobwebs: good.2) Will it snag/shed on raw wood beams?: It will snag if you run it firmly against rough materials, but if you dust gently it’s fine.3) Does the head pivot well?: yes, super smooth. Took me a minute to find the unlock button to move it into different positions, but then it worked great.4) Ability to telescope?: yes. at first I thought I had a dud, since it just kept collapsing into itself, but a little online research revealed that you have to twist the rods together to keep them in place at different height selections. Once I understood that, it’s worked great.5) Does it survive the wash?: yes. I put it in the washer in a delicates bag and ran it on cold with other clothes. It did not bleed or shed at all. I put it (still in the mesh bag) in the dryer on low heat with other clothes, and it came out like a champ and continues to work well.Happy enough with it that I’m buying a second duster head as a backup.

Works pretty well but occasionally frays.
This is a pretty good stick duster. I like that the pad is washable. It picks up loose dust pretty well and you can use the duster quite a while before having to wash the pad. Shake it out and you can keep going. The retractable handle is sturdy and reaches out far enough to get cobwebs and dust in ceiling corners. My one real complaint is that the pad can leave red fuzz on rougher surfaces fairly easily. If you are doing baseboards or ceiling corners on a rough ceiling, you can often see little red hairs stuck to the surface. It’s not a huge deal but it keeps me from a 5-star rating. I’m still happy with the purchase.

Saves time and effort
I just happened upon this Oxo Good Grips Microfiber Extendable Duster by chance. While vacationing at a rental property, we found a need to clean a wood floor without access to a vacuum or broom. Looking around the place I found this Oxo duster. In a pinch, this extended pole allowed me to rapidly both dust and gather crumbs from beneath the dinner table without a hint of exertion. It did a wonderful job considering that you might choose another item for this chore. In a very short period of time, I was able to go around the entire first floor going high and low to catch cobwebs and dust everywhere. As a self-proclaimed cleaning nut, I rate this tool A+ for the clean it delivers for the cost. Removal and hand-washing the fibers was a breeze, too. Yes, it says you can machine wash the head but it collected so much crud that it was easy to throw it into a sink with a little laundry detergent to wash and rinse it. Grade A+!

Never thought Iâd be so excited about a duster
I use this duster when vacuuming around baseboard and furniture. I can get behind and around tight places with the duster, tap out the dirt onto an open space and vacuum it right up. It has become the perfect companion for me when I vacuum. The angle of the mop (reusable and machine washable) is adjustable and the pole is telescoping making this tool so versatile. Definitely a good buy

Makes dusting easier
I like this duster very much. It works well, picks up a lot of dust, stays at the length I extended it and is washable, which is my favorite part. I waited to write this review until I saw how well it washed and dried and then how well it worked after that. I washed it with my cleaning cloths in cold water in my washing machine. It did not fade or shed at all. I let it air dry by reattaching to the handle. The next time I was ready to clean, it worked just as well as the first time I used it. I like it so much I bought a second one for use in my travel trailer.

Great Duster, But Really Poor Design
July 2013: The microfiber head really picks up dust well. I’m especially happy with how clean it leaves the plastic casing on my plasma TV and computer monitors. I used to waste so much time trying to dust because Whiffers, paper towels and rags all leave as much dust as they pick up. Dusting is now faster and cleaner. The dust stays on the head until shaken clean (I rap it against the metal bars on my porch and I can actually see bursts of dust shake out). The major downside is that the joint that allows the head to bend at an angle is way too bulky. The hard plastic joint area is totally exposed, even when not bent. There is nothing to protect surfaces from getting scratched or damaged (I must be ultra-careful cleaning my TV screen, for example). I took two stars away for this extra-poor design. If you look at the pictures of this OXO duster carefully, you can clearly see what I mean.November 5, 2014: After inadvertently breaking the handle, I purchased another OXO Good-Grips microfiber duster a couple of weeks ago. What a disappointment. The duster is now thinner and narrower than the one I had purchased in July 2013. It also does not pick up dust well. This new version puts most of the dust back onto the furniture. It sheds a lot more than the one I purchased last year, leaving a trail of orange fiber wherever I walk. Fortunately, I still have my earlier duster, so I was able to salvage this purchase by replacing the useless duster with my old one, which after 15 months of continuous use still picks up dust like a champ. I do not recommend this new version of the OXO Good-Grips Microfiber Extendable Duster. Perhaps some other reviewer can recommend a better product. Better still, perhaps the manufacturer will salvage its brand by offering a better quality product.

Good, but weak handle
I liked this and it works well, but the handle broke at the joint where the brush part connects to the handle after two months, 4-5 uses! The company OXO has great customer service though, and is replacing it once I email them a pic of the broken joint.
