Best vacuumâ¦â¦or so I thought.
Iâve tried a lot of vacuums in store and had a couple of ones I didnât like at home. Some started with the letter D. The new vacuums literally pull carpet out of their installation strips,I find many of the stick ones to be unwieldy and was frustrated. I came across this oreck and took a chance. Itâs lightweight, easy to handle and does a great job. Had my first oreck about 25 years ago and loved it, when I replaced it the newer oreck was terrible, probably why their stores closed. This one is well priced and wonât disappoint.NOWâ¦â¦ we are in the middle of a move and I canât get this vacuum to pick up a piece of lint or a feather from a little down pillow. Weâve loved this oreck and all of a sudden it quit working. We changed the bag, husband checked the beltâ¦all looks right, it just wonât pick up a thing. Today is Sunday night and we are in the midst of a move with a closing on Thursday. What do I do now???? Please help.

Works like a dream!
Oreck commercial works really well. Itâs the same height as a traditional vacuum but a little thinner in width and more compact. Hasnât clogged or lost suction once. Has a longer power cord than a traditional store bought vacuum so I can reach further in my home without having to switch power outlets. A lot easier to disassemble and clean if you have to. No more complicated plastic tubes that you risk ripping a hole into and have to throw away the whole machine. Only surprise is that it requires a screwdriver head that isnât a Phillips to open and service machine. But if you have a screw/drill set you should have this piece. Overall a solid addition to your house hold cleaning appliances.

Astounding machine!
I just received the Oreck Commercial XL Upright Corded Vacuum Cleaner, Bagged Professional Commercial Pro and I’m thrilled. It unpacked and was assembled in less that 20 minutes. It is a no frills vacuum but it is so light that it virtually floats.Listen, I’m 67 and I’ve had Rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia for 20 yrs. In the last 10, vacuuming and sweeping have become nearly impossible. I used to sweep and vacuum my whole house in less than an hour but now it can take days to do the whole house. My back, neck, arms, and hips are in agony pushing around the Hoover I use. I saw this and the reviews and decided it was worth the actual bargain price. If you have mobility or pain issues, this might be a good choice for you.I used it today and didn’t have to sit down after I did one room. It was effortless. It went from carpet to floor easily and picked up the pine pellet cat litter that had been dropped. The carpet looked as good as it does with the larger heavier machine.I really love it and it is small enough I don’t have to store it in a closet but can put it next to the washing machine in the laundry room. I truly hope it continues to live up to what I saw with the first use. There are no attachments. I to just attach the handle and go. Even came with one bag, which is much larger than my Hoover bags. With 3 cats, I have to vacuum a few times a week but have not been able to do that. So, I need an effective machine. This seemed to do the job. Is it as good as my Hoover? I haven’t done a comparison because I have to have someone else use it. It is almost impossible for me now. It will be relegated to the garage until I think I need it.I plan on buying the hand held machine next so I have the versatility of the attachments.

Old Fashioned Success
I LOVE the weight of this vacuum! When I picked up the box I immediately thought I had been scammed because it was so lightweight. It was easy to install the handle and get to work. It works great on apartment carpet. Outstanding suction power and great for cat hair. But, on plush carpet or carpet with raised designs, it was not so great. It did not roll well at all. Also, this vacuum worked great on bare floors. The sound. Oh. My. Gosh. It is EXTREMELY loud! I was not expecting that volume of sound from such a small vacuum.I have only had it two days and I am content so far. It does what it is supposed to do and that is what matters.I will purchase bags and continue to use this vacuum in addition to my bagless one for my plush carpet.

I purchased this vaccuum approximately 2.5 years ago. It is used daily in a house with 2 large dogs that shed profusely and constantly track in sand in the winter. I have a 3,000 sq ft house with every flooring type. regular carpet, shag carpet, indoor/outdoor carpet, hardwood, concrete, tile, linoleum. Absolutely excellent performance on hard floors- most other uprights I’ve ever tried on hard floors shoot gravel etc around. This one rules. I use it in every room. This vacuum does it all, and it’s lightweight to carry up the stairs. Bagged style is so convenient. Do not let the bag get full and support the bottom of it when removing. As you probably know, there are no attachments to this vacuum, therefore, if you want to be able to vacuum high areas like curtains etc, you will need something else. I actually pick the whole machine up and run it over my couch. We bought this because of ease of use. My old cannister had a lot of features but was a pain in the ass to use and lug around. This one is a breeze. Couple tips for you, especially for large carpeted areas.1. Because it is really lightweight, there is no massive motor that does all the work for you. This means there is a bit of an adjustment and it may feel hard to push at first. The trick is to line your pushing elbow up with your hip and don’t overextend your arm. Walk forward 1-2 steps, then back. Don’t extend your arm and push it way out far ahead of yourself.2. If the time comes that you DO suddenly think it feels hard to push, like it’s taking undue effort- it needs a belt change. We have used this daily for 2 years before changing the belt for the first time. Because it’s easy to use and works on every surface in my home, it gets used a LOT. Way better than a heavy “does everything” machine that you dread using.

So so disappointed â¹ï¸. Chose this vacuum because it said commercial use. Thugs it would be ideal for a family with children.Plug doesnât fit UK socket, nor is an adapter available!!!!!!!!ð¡Someone recommended Sebo. Fantastic go with that save your time and money.

The problem I was trying to solve with this vacuum is that I was tired of lugging a huge canister vacuum all over my rather small house where I have three floors and not a lot of room to maneouvre. Most of my floors are low-to-mid-pile carpet and for those that aren’t carpet, I don’t normally vacuum them – I mop and/or sweep. Most of the upright vacuums that are readily available in stores seem to be heavily-marketed to look like they’re more than they (like what is done with modern cars), and with this comes a significant amount of bulk and loss in functionality. I wanted a vacuum I could put in my closet when I wasn’t using it, and something that went flat to vacuum underneath beds and other low-lying furniture. You’ll probably know by looking at this whether it’s what you want – you are likely looking for function over form. It turns on and off. It has one height only and the cord is manually wrapped around cord retainers at the back. It’s light (I can carry it one-handed up the stairs). It has good suction. It’s quite noisy. It doesn’t have a light. It doesn’t have attachments. It is just what I was looking for.For cleaning things other than floors, get Oreck’s canister vacuum (BB1200DB or similar). It’s a nice bridge between large canister vacuums and cheap handhelds and wins again in very similar ways.

Pretty expensive for something that wonât even last a year. It has been 11 months and it wonât pick up little pieces of paper or dirt. It just rattles around but doesnât get picked up. I have taken it apart and checked for blockages and there is nothing. The motor just doesnât work properly anymore. Really bad investment and I will never buy Oreck products again.
