    Almost 5 stars
A year and 6 months out from purchase and RIP. I felt it has lasted the longest out of all robot vacuums we’ve had so overall pleased, however it started giving us difficulty right after the warranty had ended. We would turn it on and it would just go in circles and found that giving it a could tap (or kick) would kickstart it to act normal. Now it will only turn on for a minute or so before just stopping for no reason, after ensuring it had charged. Overall, we have used the vacuum 1-2x daily for 18 months with 3 dogs and have been pleased with its performance. We’ve had to change the filter so many times and it was relatively easy to clean. We’ve also used the more well known iRobot, Eufy, and Bob and this one has probably been the best thus far, and probably the cheapest! So win. Just know they don’t last forever.

The OKP K4 is the Bomb — No Brush to Clean, and Tons of Pick-up Power
I have at least 7 of these grey ones. I’ve gotten rid of all the Eufys that I started with. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE GREY ONE ONLY. The OKP K4. It sucks up at 3600 pa, and that is A LOT of power. NO BRUSH to clean. Extremely simple. [And I have two golden retrievers and four cats.]. My whole house is set up for automatic vacuums. So they never get stuck, because I’ve worked out all the getting stuck areas. I don’t map. Or use the app. What’s important to me is that my over 2000 square foot house gets clean. I turn them on, on each floor when I leave to work out. When I come back, all the floors are clean. I’m gone for about two hours, and they run at least that long. They use random movement because I don’t map. But they run so long, they eventually get everywhere. As a PS: not having to clean brushes is BIG TIME. I do meticulously tap the dust out of the filters every single time, and change them once a week. YES, YOU CAN WASH THEM OUT — very easy and non-time consuming. And these vacuums are cheap !! I’ve tried the others — don’t get them, they’re not powerful enough. But these grey OKP K4’s are the bomb.

    Won’t charge
Vacuum stopped working after 6 months. It lights up when on the charging dock but it won’t charge. The App is useless. Followed the troubleshooting steps from the manufacturer and it’s still not charging. I would advise you not to buy this product.

    I like this little fella
I’ve tried at least 3 different robot vacuums in the last 6 months (including the really fancy expensive brands, and an earlier version of this brand) and this one is the best. I got a defective one at first but once I exchanged it, now I like it.Mark Suckerberg is a little workhorse. On wood(well, vinyl that looks like wood) he does a good job with dog hair and pieces of food and whatever other junk you track in or drop.Nothing has ever caused him to get stuck. The really expensive brand got stuck quite literally every 10-15 minutes and would just…stop working when it felt like it.He doesn’t smash into walls, he senses them and avoids them.Yeah the random cleaning pattern can be kinda annoying but there is a decent row cleaning setting as well. Also spot clean is nice.Does decently on very very low pile carpet(think motel carpet). When I want to clean my room with low pile carpet I just lock him in there on high suction for 45 minutes and he picks up a lot of dog hair.I didn’t even realize there was a little mopping function on it until I got it. It’s not the same as scrubbing your floors or anything, but it’s a nice little feature if you want it. If you don’t, just don’t use it.The battery life is fine. Not groundbreaking, but it’ll go for an hour or so and then go to it’s home. Or try at least—sometimes it has a hard time, but it still manages to find its dock quicker and more often than the expensive one did.Can you tell how much I like this one over the expensive one yet?I should mention that I’m in a 1bdrm apartment but have a very furry and sheddy dog. This guy would certainly not be ideal for a giant house, unless you buy an army of them (which would either be adorable or terrifying….) but it’s nice for a smaller space. The only downside to this guy is that there’s no remote, you can only use the app which is annoying. I like the remote the old one came with, because you can easily direct it one way or another, etc. without messing around with your phone. The app is okay but pretty clunky and I don’t know why they stopped with the remote. But all in all, I like this dude and would recommend.

Poor battery life. No roller brush so works poorly on carpet.
Works well on wood floors. With medium vacuum settings, it gets pet hair and most small trash (ie. small leaves) well and runs about 2 hours. Gets stuck fairly easily. On high vacuum setting, it goes about one hour.Irritant: if you charge it and don’t use it for a couple of days, the battery discharges and you have to recharge it again before usage. It’s OK…thankfully I bought it when on sale undr $100, if I had paid full claimed MSRP I would have returned it. Not one I would buy again.EDIT: 14 months in: Battery had o be replaced – though most of the batteries do not list the K4, looks like almost all of those rectangular vacuum batteries fit. It is NOT easy to replace – most competitors have a separate battery port cover with a couple of screws. On the K4 you have to unscrew a ring of screws under the base, unplug multiple plugs from the circuit board, then unscrew three MORE screws on the PC board, before you can access the battery. Not for the faint-hearted! However, it is not that hard if you are careful and a new battery cured its woes. Symptoms of dying battery: it usually returned to its base at 14% charge, that rose to 43% as the battery wore out. Once it started losing power over 25%, it would not return to base. If you have these symptoms, buy a battery and find a Phillips-head screwdriver.
