Pretty impressive
The Mova S10 Plus Robot Vacuum is my first robot vacuum and I’m pretty impressed. I’ve resisted getting a robot vacuum because it all seemed so complicated. I’m not any kind of tech wizard and was afraid setup would be a pain. I’d also heard so many people complain about their robots getting stuck or not doing the job.As far as the setup, it went really well. I had no problems getting it to work with my wifi and no problems setting up the app. After the initial charge, it did take me a minute to figure out how to get the initial mapping started (see “not a tech wizard” comment – this is probably a no brainer for most people). The only error on the map was where the Mova mapped through my sliding glass door, and that was easily edited in the app.The initial cleaning took a bit over an hour and a half and used 23% of the battery. The Mova picked up the majority of the visible debris on the hard floors and carpet. I need to tweak the map a bit to get it to work better around some stools, but that’s user error on my part. It was also very good at avoiding random items like a pair of shoes left by a door. When it does bump something, it’s a gentle bump and not a clunking thud. The mopping feature isn’t really a good mopping – it’s more like wiping with a damp cloth. Mopping is something I’d prefer to do myself (with soap!), so that’s not a deal breaker for me at all. If nothing else, the dry mop pad does pick up very fine dust and get it off the floor. One thing that really impressed me was the variable suction of this vacuum. Throughout the vacuumed area, I have hard tile floors, thin throw rugs, a thicker area rug, some textured tile medallions and heavy rubbery entry rugs. Depending on the surface, the Mova would increase the suction to do the job. It did have a bit of an issue getting up on one of the heavy entry rugs, but that’s a relatively small area and not a huge concern.I do wish this vacuum had a bagless canister that could just be emptied. It comes with one bag installed and a second backup – it would be nice to not have to think about reordering bags when the time comes. Of course, the bag is probably better at keeping in dust, so that’s a bit of a win/lose depending on your own preferences. All in all, I’d recommend this vacuum. It seems sturdy and well made (time will tell), the interface isn’t complex enough to intimidate a fairly average user like me, and it does a decent job of vacuuming. I’ll still need to vacuum and mop, but for just keeping on top of the daily debris of life, this is going to be a huge help.

OMG a life changer!
I have always wanted to try one of these robot vacuums. We have two large hairy dogs and three kids, the mess is endless. I had to vacuum daily, and the floor still only looked clean for part of the day. I finally pulled the trigger and gave this vac a try, but was concerned it may not be able to manage pet hair and kid mess well and Iâd end up constantly cleaning out the hair tangles and vacuuming by hand just as much. I was wrong, this is great! It mapped the house in minutes. I run it once a day and it does a wonderful job. I do still have to vacuum occasionally to get the tricky spots or cracks it canât enter, but now I just vacuum thoroughly once a week instead of (at least) once a day. On vacuum day I flip the robo vac over and clean out any stuck hair, but its usually pretty mild. The spot clean feature is amazing, we live in the woods and this time of year redwood tree bits get tracked in everytime someone comes in the door. In the app you just place the box over the area that needs a quick clean up and hit start. The vacuum will just do a quick cleaning in that zone. It also has the ability to very accurately tell the difference between rugs, throw rugs, and carpets. It changes to a higher power suck while cleaning rugs and carpets, and avoids them when using the mop feature. It is also amazing at not bumping into everything but still getting all the crud out of the edges and cracks. I had noticed some reviews claiming they could not get the vacuum to link to their wifi, Iâm guessing this is because it only works on a 2.4mhz network and you have to know how to set one up if you’re not already using one.I have been very impressed with this vacuum and super happy with the app features, suction power, and overall function of it. It wonât completely replace your old vacuum, but it seriously lessens the workload and improves the day to day cleanliness of your floors, even with kids and pets!

Not bad, but weak vacuum
I have had a few of these vacuums and have been trying them out to see which ones are better. This one seems to lean more towards the hardwood floor than carpet. It seems to fill up quite easily when its picking up cat hair, and the base actually can only handle around 2 weeks of debris before it needs to be emptied in my experience. The vacuum is quite weak compared to other models, I have watched it fail to pick up small debris like a small piece of ripped cardboard, paper, a piece of paper tape, styrofoam pellets, pet food, etc.It seems to be able to navigate around quite well, but declares anything shorter than itself its mortal enemy. It will repeatedly try to run over things like pet food bowls, shelves, its own dock/base, pedestal fan bases, etc. It also seems to completely ignore corners, these would need to be maintained with normal vacuuming. We also have had to lock our bathroom door when running this as it curls up and gets stuck on our bathroom rugs. The battery runtime is pretty good, I don’t have a huge house but it fills up its debris can faster than it depletes its battery.Overall its an ok vacuum, but its weak on carpets. I believe this would do much better on hardwood floors which we don’t have.
