Love this little gem of a fish tank glass cleaner
I bought the mini size and it’s mighty to me.I’m a first time magnetic scraper user – have a very, very small (5gal) fish tank and I was nothing but pleasantly surprised and frankly astonished – algae grows in little patches on the glass and I usually use magnet every 2-3 days now to keep them from establishing themselves more and enjoyingwatching my little fish population through the clearest glass.Of course I was afraid the two parts wouldn’t stay together with the thick glass in between and was afraid to go anything but very slow and in one direction the first time I used it.The more I used it the more I dared to use more speed and direction changes and even circling, I’m actually enjoying myself cleaning algae off the glass (never thought I would write that down)- the two pieces might not be evenly together all the time and the inside part moves a little up or down or sideways but never came apart so far.Today I decided to try the two rounded front corners I was afraid of doing with it for the first time – I still can’t believe they are now absolutely clean/clear and the two parts didn’t separate when they had to be move more apart going from the side glass over the round corner to the front glass.Actually wished I had a tank that was all glass a around – I have filter box/system in back.I absolutely love this for my little fish tank – much faster than scraping with telescope scrubbing tool (bought one too since I was not sure of magnet adhesion while scrubbing and can’t use magnet in back)Definitely would buy again and I think the price is a bargain. Definitely would gift it to another small tank owner.Totally satisfied with how well this works for me.

edit 6.2.24:I am sorry to have to reduce my rating down to one star.I’m using their largest magnet scraper on my 200 gallon tank to keep the algae at Bay and I can no longer do that because the razor blade scraper/holder won’t stay seated on the end. it keeps on popping off. I’ve made sure the indent and tab are clean but nothing seems to help.edit 5.29.23 :ordered a new one after the other one started leaking. the new one has now been working for months with no issues so I’m upgrading my review to a 4 star. I’m withholding a star only because the first one was defective and I wish the magnet was a little bit stronger for my thicker glass.I have a 210 gallon aquarium and The Glass looks like it’s about a half inch thick.this magnet scrubber seems to work great but in using it the first time I had a series of continuous bubbles emanating from the inside the aquarium half of the pair.strong magnetic attraction through the half inch glass seemed to work great on stubborn brown algae that has grown on the glass. some spots it took 10 or so passes of the inside scrubber to clean this stubborn algae off but I am pleased with the results.since my aquarium is about 2 ft deep the desire to have a floating magnet is key and my concern is the bubbles indicate water is going into the inside of the aquarium half.I may just have a manufacturing defect and will replace this unit for what I hope to be a better one from the same manufacturer.

It floats when disconnected. Powerful magnet. Felt is on opposite side outside tank so it cleans the outside as well. Not sure how fish feel about it as it kind of hops when you move it quickly so I slowed down my aggressive scrubbing a d went with a smaller side to side action. Works amazing. Bought the large size for 5 gallon.
