Gets the job done!
I don’t write reviews but this one was worth the 2 minutes it takes to do so. Before this Lafant vacuum, I owned 2 different Roombas and returned both of them within days of purchasing. They were constantly getting tangled up and stuck in all sorts of places. I was spending more time trying to get the thing to do its job than if I had just swept the floors myself. Fast forward a couple years and I saw this one randomly pop up on my suggested Amazon purchases. It was half off and I thought “why not, I’ll just send it back if it doesn’t work”. BUT… I love it!!! I’ve had it for maybe a couple of months now and I use it daily! The only thing that I might suggest is some sort of boundary markers like the ones you can purchase separately for the Roomba. Other than that, I love mine, and it sure beats the heck out of sweeping the floors everyday. I even named her Rosey the Robot!!

Newbie to robot vacs – impressed
I’ve never owned a robot vac, so I don’t have anything to compare this to. Being skeptical, I ordered this vac on sale. I have to say, I’m impressed. I have two dogs, live in a rural area so dirt is always getting tracked inside. Plenty of hair falling from dogs constantly. So far, this thing has done wonders to help keep the floors much cleaner. It does a great job on hard surfaces. It will navigate over area rugs, but doesn’t do much of anything to clean them. I have about 800 sq ft of hard surface and the rest is carpeted. I set the robot to run once a day and shut the doors to the carpeted rooms. I’ve found that on all default settings, the battery lasts 90 minutes consistently. The dust bin gets emptied daily as it is usually close to being full after each cycle!What I hate – The app. I HATE apps and being tracked. I don’t feel I should have to register with email and give my location in order to use my vacuum. What I have done is install the app on a old, unused android phone with no sim. I have a specific email address used only this phone that I only use for flaky apps. I turned on location and wifi just long enough to install the app, register and do the setup and scheduling. Once that was done, I put the phone back in airplane mode. I’ve not had to use the app once I found all of the settings that work best for my house.2 months in and this operates on a daily basis as it did on day one. The only problem I have had is with the pivoting front wheel/roller. It began squeaking. I used canned air to blow out the dirt, the sprayed with electrical contact cleaner, then used some light oil. Problem solved. I’ve been very pleased with this vac so far. I’ll update this review as time goes by.

Does NOT save reusable maps. If it did i would have given 5 stars. Had this same vacuum for a little over TWO YEARS and purchased another one. The first one I didn’t use the map feature because I just would close the doors and use it in the main part of the house. After using it for over two years it was still working but kept getting stuck under furniture (which it never really did befefore) and noticed the battery would not last as long. I think if I wanted to spend the time to really clean it all up and maybe purchase a new battery, it probably would have been fine. Didn’t have the time and this was my first robot vacuum and realized that if I purchased another one I would set up the mapping feature this time to avoid furniture and rooms because sometimes I would forgot to close the doors and the vacuum would eat my phone plugs. I purchased the same vacuum I got the first time and didn’t need to do much. It automatically connected and the old remote did too, as the new one didn’t come with a remote. Set everything up smart mapped it all out, scheduled a time to clean and realized it didn’t save the map. I downloaded the newer app, and had to deep dive into the internet to find that this one does NOT save maps for each use. It maps it out each time, which means I have to basically close all the doors still. It maps it out so as it cleans it won’t go under furniture and eventually I can open doors and it remains outside of those doors but the next time I used it, it had to map all over again. If you DONT need the mapping feature saved then this vacuum is a MUST. Had the first one for two years and never had a problem. If you do need mapping saved for each use this is NOT the one. This also doesn’t come with a remote, I just happened to have the old remote. It does have a scheduling feature, so overall if you don’t need a map 5 stars. If you do need a map then 2-3 stars because it does work very well overall.

Simple to operate. Responds to Alexa. Cleans really well. Does it vac like a huge Dyson? Of course not but if you have it running “little and often” it keeps the dirt at bay.Cat is less than impressed.

This robovac does a nice job cleaning. However, the room mapping feature does not work. Also The scheduling feature does not allow you to set the vacuum sustain from low, mid, high. It also does not allow setting the cleaning method, random, wall follow, or bow, or spiral.
