Don’t Order
I ordered this booklet along with a replacement battery. I was charged for the booklet and told the batteries were no longer available at all. I feel that was a piece of information that should have been available up front. The booklet is useless.

Love my kindlefire !! It’s my bedtime companion . Relax ,read,research, study scripture, utube to keep learning more concerning this day in which we live. My Kindlefire is lite, screen size is perfect for holding near. Laying prone is where I appreciate this all of the Kindlefire benefits. Rog44jodi39@aol.com. Itii has been my teacher at my age of 79 . Purchased for my birthday 2013 March 5. I used the May day 2 times and received the resulted fix to my problems . Kindlefire connected me to the series of the Outlander . I have read the novels as they were published but enjoyed watching tv series of Outlander on my Kindlefire. Simply relating one of the highlight of owning my Kindlefire 7 . Kindle Battery Replacement Instructional Manual
Battery portion was what I needed to know and it proved to be very informative which prevented me from causing damage to the unit.

Not helpful
It was more confusing than helpful, locating local battery replacements and/or dealers was non-existent nor where to buy the “special tool”. If you have problems with your kindle, the only source is Kindle Customer Service. They helped me with my issue but it is important to note you may be required to return your product to the factory where they may consider reissuing a refurbished unit.

The Book Provided More Information than Expected
Most of the book talks about batteries for the Kindle focussing on how to avoid battery replacement In the first place. A small section of the book contains the actual instructions for replacing the battery in the various Kindle models.

Read the the instruction thorough.
I did not had to replace the Battery. Instead a Tip in the Instruction help me.Press the on button for much longer than usual and the Kindle sprang alive again.

With the information in this manual I was able to successfully open the back of a gen 2 Kindle and resurrect it from the ‘dead’ stage. It had stopped with a blank screen and no amount of reset got it to work until the back came off and I cleaned all battery contacts, wallah ! it came back to life.
