Do not buy this model !
Wish I could give it zero stars!! This is the worst pile of rubbish iRobot ! Constantly get error messages, clogged , stuck , lost , canât find base. Now I got an error message that the cleaning module needs to be replaced!! Itâs a week old . I hate this roomba . Not worth the hassle of warranty. Iâm returning it!Iâve had 2 other older models I loved for years (one movers lost /stole) and one died after 5 years of constant use â¦ no issues with either except for regular maintenance.

So simple yet so awesome
We live in the country and are always tracking in dirt. This rumba does an awesome job on carpet and tile. The self emptying feature is awesome. We have had several rumba’s and this is definitely the best. The sensor and program prevents it from slamming into your furniture (or your feet). The phone alerts are very useful as well.

Not worth the price.
The battery was missing. Very heavy and clunky. Seemed like it was returned previously and resent our again.

Roomba is fine, but it doesn’t work well in my home
The Roomba was fine ~ HOWEVER my furniture with their ornate legs created a huge obstacle for the Roomba. It was like watching a toddler bounce off of furniture and fall over repeatedly. Again, the Roomba was fine. It just doesn’t work in my home with all of my unique furniture items!

Definitely Recommended
It does a great job in my apartment. I have 2 cats and we all know they can shed a lot of hair. I have the schedule set on 3 days…Mon, Weds, and Fri. It takes about 1hr 25 mins to clean. It fits easily under Sofa and Loveseat in the Living Room and under the bed and Dresser in the Living Room. Automatically docks when cleaning is complete and empties into a bag. Through Bluetooth, I receive messages during the cleaning if there are any obstacles in it’s way. It reaches almost every corner in the apartment and even picks up the excess litter from the litter box. I highly recommend the J8+ and would definitely purchase again.

No power cord
I received this on 12/29 and it did not have a powercord in the box to charge and use the irobot . I contacted irobot and here it is Jan 5 and still no power cord.

Great jobâ¦when it works
Which is about half the time. Robot roams aimlessly, repeats rooms, and sometimes misses rooms entirely despite detailed mapping. Gets stuck constantly on the edge of low-pile area rugs. Takes 5+ hours to vacuum a 2K sq ft house, most of which is hard floor. (I can do it myself in less than 30 min.) Returns to the base at least once per cleaning to recharge for 90 minutes, and probably empties itself five times on average per cleaning. Not worth the high price.

Amazing product
I bought this unboxed it, downloaded the app, followed instructions and it does the rest. It has gotten stuck (rarely) but it has been my fault. It cleans my kitchen, living room, dining room two bathrooms and two bedrooms in less than an hour then I have it do higher traffic areas a second time. Using the app and telling it when and where to clean and where to avoid is awesome. I highly recommend this product
