Problems
Roomba i8 is, at best, sufficient to keep the cat hair off of my rugs. it has quite a few flaws. the software has a LOT of bugs and fails to connect more often than not. the small, square, filter fails when the app says itâs still got another half life.
the brushes need to be manually once a week or more often. they too refuse to be rehabilitated when the app say they are only half worn out.
itâs expensive, and though I have a perfectly good land line, I had to buy a smart phone to run the roomba software, which, btw, to be rebooted means I have to reboot the modem, the wifi, and the whole phone.
it depends on your tolerance for nuisance maintenance and how much you want to avoid getting out the upright vacuum cleaner.

Easy to use and efficient
This is my second Robot cleaner and the room a i8+ does a great job. After mapping your place you can decide what area to clean and schedule your cleaning. No issue with carpets. It looks like this unit deals well with obstacles. A great unit to keep you house clean on a daily basis

Annoying
This is my 3rd roomba, and I really dislike it. It seems to stall and whine about every little thing. I would much rather empty the bin myself than deal with expensive bags. The app is huge, taking space on my phone, and they hawk replacement parts every other day. Also, every time they sent me a review request, the vacuum stops, and I have to restart it to get it to finish. The company did some over-thinking on this one.
