Highly recommend
This is doing a fine job. Set-up via the app is easy. The Roomba will follow your command and map your floors — room by room. It even has a feature that prevents it from falling down the stairs. And it works with Alexa. It does its job. It cleans well. I recommend you occasionally flip it over and inspect the bottom components, especially, after you first place it in service. We have girls on the second floor and the Roomba collected hair that we didn’t realize was under the bed and in the corners. After first use, it was necessary to remove hair from the rollers and spinning brush. Nothing was wrong, we just had a lot of “invisible” hair. I highly recommend inspecting the underside after the first few uses.I like the scheduling feature, and the ability to mark areas on the map you may want to avoid. This is our second Roomba and their customer service was outstanding. After three years with our older model, we experienced a technical issue and customer support helped solve the problem.I’d absolutely buy another. Remember to inspect the bottom; especially, if you have long haired persons or pets.

No manuals, no QR code for activation, smart maps doesnât work, wonât climb flat rugs. Useless.
This is an awful vacuum. Believe the bad reviews. Thereâs a reason eBay and Amazon are flooded with refurbished i4+ Roombas. It was useless for me. They donât include a hard manual of any kind and the setup is not obvious. They claimed a quick start guide and a QR code were included. The QR code was included but wasnât recognized. No quick start guide. No one thought to provide a manual for the self emptying feature and the best manual they have, applies to the model without self emptying. Because there was no âthis is what is in the boxâ guide, I thought it was missing a brush and broke into a set of spare parts I bought along with it. Thatâs $20 wasted. If I had a manual, I could have seen the lopsided design was intentional. But aside from all this, it wonât climb a flat area rug a $110 robot handled just fine. It gets stuck everywhere and looks like itâs confused. But to top it off, the smart map feature is basically a hoax. I ran the mapping feature and then looked for my created map but could not label rooms and it didnât appear in the smart map section of the app. When I click the smart map link in the the app, it just crashes every single time. I called technical support and the tech experienced the same thing. My $110 Yeedi special cheap model beats this one by a mile. Do not buy this. I will not buy a Roomba again. They should destroy these when they are returned rather than try to find suckers like me who think theyâre getting a deal.

Great Price, does the job
This is a good price for this self emptying Roomba. It was a refurbished in excellent condition. Iâve had it for a couple months and it works great. I donât have any problems with it, and it basically looked new coming out of the box. It maps out my rooms and I can decide where itâs going to clean by using the app. They can claim the two rooms that I have mapped out or just one room or even an area if I choose that as a mapped spot. I have always had great results from my Roombas.

Tldr: ok but lacks some features
Tldr: this model has fewer features compared to i8 (our other Roomba). I decided to keep it b/c the price was right and I can make do without them. But I should have been more careful in my research. I assumed that all I models were very similar, and it’s not the case. The features that i4 doesn’t have that our i8 has are 1. Multiple maps, 2. Alexa voice control, 3. Go/no go zones, 4. Double pass. I can live without 1 and 2, but I miss 3 and 4. Also it is not backwards compatible with i8 maps, and had to map the space on it’s own.

Excellent (refurbished)
I got a refurbished version of the i4+. It’s a great little vacuum. It runs more quietly than our Dyson V6 stick vacuum. It is able to make the transition from hardwood floors to rugs by lifting itself up slightly. It has a bit of trouble with thick rugs on hardwood floor, so it’s better to pick those up, but it will usually end up going around. It’s great at sensing obstacles, and can even navigate under the dining room table and chairs, though it does take a while. Not having to empty the dust compartment every time is amazing as well. In terms of suction, it isn’t quite as powerful as the Dyson, but since we can have it run every day with no effort on our part, it doesn’t really matter if it leaves a few dust particles here and there; they’ll get picked up the next time. The app is also pretty good. It lets you select which rooms to clean (after you label the map it creates), and has a Send Home function, which is great if you want to end the cycle early. After a month of use, I would definitely buy it again. This item was refurbished. It came in good packaging, though not the original. There were no signs of wear or damage, and everything worked great out of the box. The manual was very short and simple, but I didn’t need any more than that.

Great when it works, but has consistent issues
Pros: when it works it works fairly well, no issues with rugs, only got stuck once, smart map works well enough.Cons: almost never works consistently, I get a error that requires rebooting once or twice a week, probably just due to the renewed unit that I have, I think they used a aftermarket battery and itâs not playing nice, photos show errors, errors starting happening immediately so it not like Iâm over using it or anything, returning unit
