Consistently Fails to Map
Two weeks, over a dozen mapping runs, none saved. Anything that interrupts the mapping run will result in a fail. While it vacuumâs, it make’s a 95% accurate map. But this model can only produce a âsmart mapâ while on a map run. So I have a history of completed maps, but no map in a saved, smart map mode where you can label rooms and apply dividers. I am currently working with iRobot support, who friendly, have so far said reboot the vacuum after an hour on the phone. Another small nIt-pick, this model does not have a handle to pick it up which is a shame as you will need to pick it up often and move it or place it on its home base. It gets caught on most anything other than ânailedâ down flooring or carpet. It has also fallen over the stairs and gotten stuck dangling on the stairs multiple times. More times in 2 weeks than our i6 in 5 years. We are very close to simply returning this iRobot and buying a different brand. Very disappointed as this is our 3rd iRobot Roomba. One more attempt to rectify with customer support will decide its future.

Functionality
My wife loves it,we have dogs and it vacuums beautifully.The only thing is when It docks to empty it is loud emptying.

No way 60 day debris bag!
There is no way the little white debris bag that’s in the emptying station is going to hold 60 days of debris. Especially if you have pets. Very misleading. This is being returned within 1 hour.

Seller is not an authorized reseller.
After opening for just a few months, Iâve had issues with the vacuum thinking itâs on a drop. iRobot helped troubleshoot the item and decided it should be replaced. However, since it was purchased from a company who is NOT an authorized reseller, they will NOT honor the warranty.Iâve reached out to the vendor via the Amazon interface. They have not responded. I am not happy. I feel like I was ripped off.

Overall ok, leaves somethings to be desired
The unit was easy to take through initial set up.The mapping feature did not work seamlessly; it missed large portions of rooms for no reason or skipped rooms entirely. I had to re-map several times in order to get a map that works. There is also a limit to how many square feet the map can be, which should have been made clear at time of selection.Noise level is ok, but another bit of information that would have been good to share up front.Vacuums hard floors well, struggles a bit with carpet and/or pet hair.Unit wanders from time to time, especially when going back to its base.
