I like it so far. It does a decent light mopping job
We have a ton of LVP (vinyl plank) flooring in our house, so a mopping robot works well for us.I had a Bissell Spinwave mopping robot for about three years. It finally died, I got a new one, and it was a nightmare with constant phantom errors and loud beeping. Returned it. So I was ready for a change with the iRobot Braava Jet.I am happy with this one so far. It is slower than the Bissell but it does a similar nice light mopping job. It only comes with one mopping pad, so I would recommend buying some extras. Also, I might consider buying a dry mopping pad because you can map your house in dry mode. That might be worth doing. Here are my likes and dislikes so far:HIGHSEasy set upApp works wellRuns quietlyPicks up a good amount of dirtNo loud beeping — it shares information with a pleasant voice, such as “add water”Impressive battery lifeEasy to scrub the pads clean in the sinkLOWSIt moves slowly and takes a long time in large areasDoesn’t come with extra pads or cleaning fluidI will be using this robot a lot, so I will update this review in the future.

More Maintenance Than You Think – A Very Critical Issue I Wish I Knew Before Buying.
Edit update 4/21/24 – I rarely use this device anymore. After some firmware updates, it gets lost frequently and spins around in circles until it’s redocked and told to end it’s job. It only works maybe 20 percent of the time now and no matter how many times I reset, remap, recalibrate; it has become useless. I do not recommend this product. Here is what to expect when your purchase this model (M6 white or black), this is NOT a set and forget kind of situation, you will tend to it almost every day. Not just to fill the tank or change the mop pads. Trust me. 1. It will get stuck on rugs of any kind. When it performs its first few map-runs, be sure to go into the app and immediately add “Keep out zones” or you will constantly find the mop stuck. Even then, it may still get stuck on a rug once and a while. It’s just part of the game. 2. Buy extra reusable microfiber pads. You will wash them frequently and they stink like mildew in only about 2-3 days. 3. The lid of the device is finicky, sometimes I get a red ring which tells me to “fill the tank” but it’s already full. I discovered it’s just the lid to access the tank. I must open and close this once or twice and we’re back in action. 4. All the other reviews saying that this machine streaks their floors are 100% accurate. My floors are darker, so I don’t notice them unless light shines directly in through my windows but to be honest with you, they don’t bother me as much as some people here. There is a couple ways to reduce streaks. You’ll want to setup a “favorite” mopping schedule. Basically, you’ll have the mop, slowly make its way back to the dock as it cleans. You don’t want it to drag the wet mop (anymore than it does already) back through an area it just cleaned. If you use distilled water and just the right amount of solution, you can counter this but it’s still going to streak a bit. Also, imagine how much distilled water you’ll be going through… 5. THE BIGGEST ISSUE: The reason I came to write a quick review. In less than 8 months, the device began having issues docking itself after a mop session. After some troubleshooting and Google searching, I discovered this was due to tire deterioration. The right tire was quickly falling apart, I could even rub my finger over it gently and pieces of rubber would be left in my finger. This is when I made a really critical discovery. YOU CANNOT BUY NEW TIRES THROUGH ROOMBA WEBSITE, YOU MUST CALL. You read that right. They will replace through warranty but you cannot buy them separately. Getting the tire replaced is just about as bad as you’ve heard others mention. It took over 1.5 hours of a phone call (40 minute wait). The man was nice but very slow to handle the issue. I had to take pictures of my device, as well as the tires. Nothing too difficult. In the end, they shipped me some new tires (I just got off the phone, so I expect to see these in 7 business days, if not…I’ll be back to update this). Since I am still under the year warranty from the manufacturer, I was not charged any fee. I forgot to ask him how much they would be in the future when these fall apart too. I find the tire situation to be very unacceptable and poorly designed for a robot mop that is actually not as stupid as other reviews have claimed. It’s on the more expensive side but the application benefits you get in addition to the link-clean feature (so it will run after your iRobot vacuums) was of a great importance to me. Had it not been for this issue with the tires, I would have given this a higher review. The fact that I have never used any unapproved cleaning solution outside of what iRobot suggest (Bona) and this has been an issue in less than 8 months, is just not ok. Yes, they are sending me new tires; however, we’ll potentially be in the same boat in less than a year from now? Time will tell but since the customer service rep said they were sending me the same tires, I take it that I am most likely going to be calling them for more tires soon. I don’t mind buying them once and a while because I love this mop and it makes my life a lot easier but they need a more permanent fix for this. For the record, I did have a temporary solution for this. You can spray anti-slip chemical on the tires and base but you’ll be doing this frequently and it can get a bit messy. This isn’t really something consumers should have to do though. Overall, if you’re on the fence, I would say hold out for a newer model. While they do have another model to coincide with the newest vacuum, I have also heard similar issues with that one (the one with the gold lid). iRobot is smarter than this, they need to go back to the drawing board with the tire design and material.

A great compliment to my Roomba vacuums
I finally bought the M6 after years of running the Roomba vacuums. We have all luxury vinyl plank flooring in the house and 6 dogs. They go in and out all day and bring in a bunch of dirt. Plus I have a goldendoodle that drips water everywhere each time she drinks. My floors look like a mess even though they are cleaned of dirt several times a day.The Brava M6 is incredible! It cleans up after the Roombas and leaves the floors streak free. I added it to my Roomba app and like another reviewer had mentioned, mine did a mapping run and it ran for 7 hours before I finally stopped it and did a factory reset on it. Then I waited until the next morning to try again, it then allowed me to import my maps from my Roomba J7 and was ready to go. Very easy and cool. I don’t know why it didn’t do that the first time but it started working after that.Immediately, the floors felt cleaner and looked great, just on the mapping run. But I was able to schedule the M6 to follow after the J7 and mop up. So far it’s working well. I wish it had a light on it like the J7 so it could clean at night, but I have smart lights and schedule them to come on throughout the night in different rooms to allow the M6 to clean. The M6 is VERY quiet. It can easily run at night if you have the lighting for it. I run the J7 at night and it isn’t as quiet. Plus the emptying process is pretty loud. We’ve gotten used to it, but it isn’t stealth. The M6 is. I had thought a few times it had finished and gone back to the base because I couldn’t hardly hear it.This does clean in a zigzag pattern but it also goes forward and backwards all through the process. It’s a little frustrating to watch and it runs slower than the vacuums for sure, but it is doing a great job.Like all Roomba’s, it can’t be scheduled for jobs less than 3 hour apart. It’s frustrating because I sometimes have it do areas that are very small and take less than 10 minutes. But scheduling through the app can’t be done less than the 3 hours regardless. So I have my Roombas run every 3 hours starting at 11:30 at night and throughout the night. I have the vacuum clean up around the doors after breakfast with the dogs going out and drinking water. I now have the M6 come clean up the water and any other dirt right after all that. It’s amazing how much cleaner everything feels.I bought some additional cleaning pads and cleaner. The cleaning solution they sent with it worked great so I ordered a lot more. The cheap pads I bought seem to do fine as well. I was so impressed how little water it uses, yet the floors look soaked. I’m running it on the medium water setting. There is about 2500Sq feet of flooring it is doing right now. It seems like it is plenty to do it all but I do refill it throughout the day to be sure.So far I’m impressed with the M6 like I have been with the vacuums. It keeps my house much cleaner and is simple to use. It works great with the existing Roombas and is easy to operate.

Bought this during the Prime Day sale. When the more expansive Roomba modelâs price reverted I decided to buy a cheaper Roomba model and spend the difference (plus a little bit) on this. These new iRobot models are way better than their earlier generations. Theyâre ability to map your floors is great. You can then designate rooms and they can work only the rooms you specify. Theyâre smart enough to determine where they are even if they arenât starting from the base station. This allows you to create maps for different floors even if you donât have a base station there. Also, once mapped they clean far more systematically, efficiently, and much less random. I found this unit mapped a little more slowly and gently than the Roomba. The Braava can clean dry or wet. It determines how itâs going to work based on the pad youâve inserted. Pads with blue tabs tell the unit to wet clean while pads with the white tabs tell it to clean dry. So when you see similar pads that are white and blue⦠thatâs the difference. You can purchase disposal or reusable pads. The unit moves slowly when cleaning but that didnât bother me. It did a great job on the hardwood floors. It did have trouble cleaning anything off the tiles that needed a little extra rubbing to get out. The unit is basically wiping the floor with the equivalent of a Swiffer pad. It applies some pressure but I canât say it âscrubsâ.It comes with two packages of solution. iRobot only recommends the âBonaâ brand. You can buy bottles of concentrate designed for machine cleaners at local stores. I think the concern is to avoid cleaners that will cause foaming in the machine. I cleaned about 32 square meters (according to the app) and it used about half a container of solution in the unit. The container isnât very big so I pleased that it doesnât go crazy with the spray. From what I see it uses the solution to wet the pad by spraying and driving over the wet area. It will then mop a certain amount of area before spraying again. It doesnât spray every spot it mops.Overall I love how this thing works. It doesnât do a perfect clean like you can do by hand, but to keep the house tidy and clean day-to-day itâs awesome.Weâve combined it with a Roomba j6+ so do the vacuuming and dry cleaning. I use the Braava to follow up with a wet clean less frequently. In fact, the Roomba can even tell the Braava to start mopping as soon as the vacuuming is done.Itâs definitely an expensive luxury but if you can get it on sale itâs really a handy device to take some of the cleaning off yours hands.

I’ve owned a few Braavas over the years and this one is by far my favourite! It works quickly and does an amazing job!. The battery is great. It lasts long enough to clean my floor twice in a row when it’s very dirty. The tank is also a good size. It holds enough solution to clean my floor twice. It is also nice that I can control the Braava from anywhere in the world using my phone. I’ve also set it up with Siri Shortcuts and my Amazon Alexa so that I can mop my floors with just the power of my voice! My favourite feature of this Braava is that I can set it to clean in tandem with my Roomba so I always come home to sparkling clean floors. In comparison to my last Braava (the 380t), this one is slightly louder but does a nicer job cleaning my floor. My last Braava also sometimes missed spots whereas the Jet m6 never does. One advantage of the old Braava was that the cleaning pad could be thrown in the washing machine after each use. The Jet m6’s cleaning pad has a large piece of rigid plastic stitched to it so I always have to hand wash it as I don’t want my washing machine to break it.
