    No Power
This vacuum does not have enough power to pull water through hose. The mesh section only fills 3/4 of the way to the top. It just flat out does not work.

    Great for larger aquariums
This electric siphon works really well. The pump motor is quite strong and will empty an aquarium really quickly. Where I take off a star is as a caution to those that want to use this siphon in smaller (less than 20 gallon) tanks.First let’s look at the assembly. Everything is a friction fit. This is not too bad and because of the considerable tightness of the various tubes there is no leakage. However, this also means that to disassemble the siphon to change configurations, it can be difficult when wet as there is no gripping areas to really hold on to to twist apart the parts. The motor is about 4″ long from inlet to outlet. There are various configurations for the siphon inlet: 1. a sand/gravel suction head, 2. a “feces” suction head (both attach to the inlet of the suction motor; for the outlet: you can attach a hose to go direct to a bucket for siphoning off water, or 2. put in-line a screen filter that actually deadheads at the end so the siphoned water will be pumped into the filter screen and then recirculated back into the aquarium. The gravel/sand rinsing assembly is approximately 7-1/2″ long. Add this length to the motor’s and you’ll easily exceed 11″, which is the height of many smaller aquariums. Since you have to initially submerge the motor to prime the pump to get water flowing, this may present problems if your aquarium is smaller than 11″ in height or has obstacles in it that prevent manipulating the siphon’s length into the water. The “feces” suction head is a straight path slotted attachment that allows water to pass directly through it into the motor. I’m not sure I’d use is since it also would allow gravel and sand to also pass directly through it into the motor! The Screen filter assembly that attaches to the outlet of the pump adds another 6″ to the motor assembly. This allows the pump to suck the water through the nozzle and pump it through the screen filter to clean the water, with the water passing through the screen and back out into the aquarium. If you use the Sand/gravel wash head (to protect the pump from gravel and to concentrate the suction for maximum efficiency when cleaning the aquarium), the total length of the siphon ( cleaning head, motor, screening filter) will be over 17″ tall. This means that to recirculate the water while cleaning it will cause the screen filter assembly to be above the waterline of most smaller aquariums and easily cause a mess.Don’t get me wrong. I really like this siphon pump. It is very easy to change water in an aquarium and can help tremendously with cleaning the gravel BUT you should be aware of the size of the siphon and how it will or will not fit in your aquarium.

I’m using this on a 25 gallon octagonal tank
I’ve tried it one time and I feel like it’s really awkward. I had trouble getting it primed. I’ll try again. It’s so long it’s awkward to use for my tank

    Great fish tank cleaning tool
I am new to aquarium world and learning how to maintain it easier. This electric gravel fish tank cleaner is a time saver. It helps me cleans a 10 gallon fish tank in just under 10 minutes. I can quickly clean the debris and also change the water with its strong water flow. It was very easy to put it together and learn how to operate it. Overall great product, and must have for medium to large aquarium sizes.

    Junk
Worked one time. I thought I found a good thing. Not so much. The valve was cracked and after my initial use, there was no suction. A very poorly made product. I reached out to the company twice and had no response. Therefore, it is being returned. I will never purchase anything else from this company. This was the second item I had to return.

serious gravel cleaner for medium to large tanks
This is a monster of a gravel cleaner for your fish tank. I was able to use it in a 10 gallon tank but it’s very tight and I could barely keep everything submerged that needed to be. It does a good job of filtering out the gunk/waste that builds up in the bottom. I think it would be best for mid to large sized tanks and I would not even try to use it on something less than 10 gallons.

Juste bon pour des petites aquariums très très décu cela ne vaut pas la peine d’acheter c’est jeter son argentbeaucoup d’erreur de conception au départ le col de cygne très encombrant et moteur très faible fait juste nettoyer le dessus et non en profondeur
