Seems tough, looks nice, definitely not junk.
The design is nice. It has a sturdy spring at the end which makes attaching the tips slightly more difficult, at least the first two times I changed tips. It is thick enough that I expect it to be me who adjusts. So just make sure you hold the attachment at it’s base, and not by the tip when you attach it. However, once in place the attachment is a solid extension of the handle. No flimsy garbage. The metal post(possibly 300 series stainless?) in the center of the attachment is likely also part of it not moving or bending when in use(so far). The handle extends and contracts by use of a collet. The collet tightens via a nut which has ridges. A spline might give better grip but wouldn’t feel as good in the hand. Also, no tools needed to tighten all the way or loosen due to the flats on the handle which provide a good surface for hand torque, and does so without anything that would be uncomfortable in the hand. The explanation of this product says that it’s carbon composite. This does not appear to apply to the handle and collet holder. I’m not sure what they are made of, but are stiff and seems more scratch resistant than hdpe but not downright hard like polycarbonate, which cracks. This suggests a high quality choice. As for the carbon composite claim- the pole is certainly an impregnated plastic. It’s strong, lightweight, and even the skinny extension pole has little flex, though thankfully, does have a little, making me think it won’t just snap one day under years of abuse.I am unsure why there is a rating for suction. I left it at 0 stars, which I hope has no impact. It should be removed, as this is not a vacuuming device. My only actual gripe is the lack of a common razor holder. Their razor is much longer, and is clearly a proprietary attachment. I’m not sure if the blade is meant to be changed, or the whole tip. The sponges appear to be adhered to their attachment, which has a tight swivel. That swivel is connected via an Allen head, meaning in the future you might be able to tighten it slightly were it to become loose. Another good choice by the manufacturer. I’d like a larger net to fit this pole. One with a much finer mesh. The net that is here will catch large debris and tetras, no problem. Perhaps part of this decision is to prevent people from trying to net a heavy fish with the pole fully extended. This would make sense considering other decisions which appear to have been made to get you a good tool you’d have to try to break. Like the material choices, attachment system, and collet system.I will say this was 2-2.5 times the price of other models. If it was more expensive I may not have tried it. But, people complain about the cheap ones being cheap. This one seems more solid to me than what is offered even in my LFS, and the grey is so much better in my opinion than the common blue. All in all, this has a welcome home in my carefully selected, high quality only, hobby tool kit.I don’t know who Hygger is, or where they are from. But they are now on my radar.

    Has come in handy~
I got this to help with a tank that was placed near windows, and it would accumulate algae very quickly due to being so close to the windows. These tools have really helped to keep the maintenance from being too overwhelming. Algae can be a very fierce problem to deal with, but the various tools in this kit really help to keep it from being such a pain. I especially like the blade on the long wand. It made getting the algae off the tank walls a breeze! I was a bit concerned about using it in the corners, as I was worried it would take the sealant off so I didn’t use the blade in the corners. But that’s where the angled scrubber came in handy, and it worked great in the corners. Plus I wasn’t worried that it would remove the sealant from the glass. I was still cautious about how I used it over those areas, making sure I didn’t “dig” into the seal in any way. I also like that the wand/handle pieces are long enough that I can used them in my larger tank and keep my arms from having to be in the tank water too much. I am always cautious about lotions and the like being on my skin when I am doing my tank maintenance. It’s not good for the filters or the fish for that matter. So I like that I can reduce how much of my skin is actually going in to the tank. I’m very pleased that I got this cleaning kit. It has been very helpful in doing my tank maintenance and I know it will be helpful for anyone that decides to use it! Be well

Some pros and cons for planted aquariums
I’m reviewing as a first time user and my first impressions so I cannot say for rust, but there are some metal components that appear they could rust. Keep the blade dry and I’m not sure if I’d even keep the cover on it. Also, the metal running through the middle of the tube brush might rust, also need to dry it well. The attachments were tested on a med-high tech planted tank, 55gal. As for those that have the same set up, we need good algae controlling tools since we are using fertilizers, co2 and high lights.I do like the spring locking mechanism. But It can take some pressure to push the attachment onto the pole. The pole and attachments felt sturdy. I can apply some pressure and nothing popped off or bent. The blade – this was the main reason I purchased this. I was looking for a wide blade to replace my tiny razor blades I was using. It’s not as good as a razor blade, and depending on the type of algae, I had to go over it a few times. This blade makes some squeaky noises against the glass that scared the fish a little. Even though it’s not razor sharp, it’s still sharp to knick the silicone in the corners and thats harder to control on a long handle. So be careful. I’ll still use my razor blades on a full cleaning day, but I’ll have this on hand for a quick scrape without putting my hands in the water.Corner sponge – I was excited to use this one since I do have algae on the silicone that you can’t get with a blade. But ended up very disappointed. This sponge is way too soft. It wasn’t going to clean anything. I liked that it could hinge to reach harder areas but the sponge itself needed to be stiffer.Flat sponge – it’s the same sponge as the corner sponge, so I didn’t even use it. I knew it would do nothing.Tube brush – I didn’t clean any tubes with it but it surprised me by replacing the corner sponge. With hardly any pressure, it lightly cleaned the algae off the corners of my tank – even some small bba. This was a winner!Net – everyone has nets so I didn’t see it as a great addition. And I didn’t even attach it to the pole, because I knew I’d use this to grab floating leaves and debris from the surface. It worked like a net does. It is a soft fabric, which I like. It would be soft on fish they wouldn’t get stuck onThe best part – the rake! I know…I was so surprised. When I ordered it, I thought I’d never use the rake. I don’t really deal with leveling substrate. It looks like a tiny cat litter scooper. So I had the idea of scooping with it, instead of raking. I have various chunks of substrate with black beard/brush algae (bba) and I was able to scoop up the pieces to pull them out just like cat litter. It was a surprising use. It works well! What I wish there was – a small flat brush would be great to scrub rocks and driftwood. I’m still using a toothbrush

This is a really nice product and the shaft is exceptionally rigid which is perfect for scrubbing the inside of your tank. The optional extras that comes with are all very useful in helping keep your aquarium clean. HOWEVER The scrubbing pad is practically useless and has no ability to remove any algae from the inside of your tank. The only option is to buy a scrubbing pad and glue it to the available pad. I still consider it a really good buy for this Price And whether you have a acrylic aquarium or a glass aquarium your choice of pad is easily available to purchase for a few dollars and to attach like I have.

Love it! The adjustable length and different attachments are quality mechanics that do not loosen or fall off like other similar 6 in 1’s I’ve tried in the past! The attachments I’ve used so far (algae scrapper, flat sponge and shovels) are all solid and work exceptionally well at what they are intended to! 10/10 on this one! Highly recommend!

As someone else stated… the sponges are useless for removing algae. The scraper works great on my glass aquarium, I just wish you could buy replacement blades without buying a pack with these useless sponges. I’m almost considering ripping them off and using some aquarium safe glue to put my own sponges on.
