The Honeywell InSight® ® Series HEPA Air Purifier (HPA5300B) helps provide cleaner, fresher air in extra-large rooms up to 500 square feet. Its Air Quality Sensor continuously monitors air quality, while the display shows real-time air cleaning levels. Great for homes with pets, allergen sufferers, smoke, wildfire smoke, or stale air, this quiet purifier has Auto Mode, 2/4/8 hour off timers, and dimmer for night use. Includes 3 “R” HEPA filters (replace annually) to capture 99.97%* of microscopic allergens like dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, including wildfire smoke, plus one “A” pre-filter (3-month replacement) to capture larger particles like hair, lint or pet fur, and reduce odors/contaminants released from products like paints, cleaners, or candles for optimal home air purification. Earned the ENERGY STAR label by meeting strict energy efficient guidelines set by U.S. EPA Disclaimers:* From the air that passes through the filter, 0.3 microns and larger. ** Based on 3rd party independent CADR testing for the smoke CADR value when operated at the highest level. Excellent air purifier
Did not realize how big this was for my small apartment. However doing an excellent job. If I am in another room using an aerosol spray like hair spray or cleaning product, it activates quickly to purify the air. Highly recommend. Bought this after my Winnex purifier stopped working after 4 years. This is much better quality and is very quiet.

    Nice upgrade over previous version
The price on the 300 series jumps around considerably. I’ve seen it for anywhere between $159 and $259. I was fortunate to snag it at the lower figure. I had the previous version for nearly 10 years where it performed faithfully 24/7. Then the motor started making loud squealing noises however and I needed a replacement. Honeywell has streamlined the appearance of the unit and simplified the controls. I like the new “Auto” mode that adjusts the fan speed based on the air quality. There is a cool looking “heads up” display. The pre-filter and 3 main filters are the same type, so I usually keep a few sets on hand as I have several of these units about my condo. All in all I don’t see anything to complain about. I have no regrets and would purchase again 👍👌

Very nice unit, not too loud. No control lock, and auto mode isn’t quite what was expected.
I have the previous model of this air filter unit, as well, and they’re both really effective. I have air quality monitors in my house due to respiratory issues in our family, and there has been a very big improvement in both VOCs and particle ppm with these running. The bonus is that both units take the same filters, so I can usually get a better price with the larger order. This model is, in my opinion, more stylish than the older model. I like the lighting (and the option to dim it or turn it off). The fit and finish is of better quality in small ways (piece alignment, etc.).I have two relatively minor issues with the unit, and they might not be issues for others.1) No control lock. The control area on top of the unit is flat, and as anyone with cats knows, that is an invitation for being woken up at 3am by sudden Turbo mode. I don’t know if Opie gets a sudden desire for wind rippling through his fur, or what, but that is NOT what I need in the wee hours. The little jerk has also decided that this is now his preferred method of waking me up at O’dark-thirty to fill his food dish. Not amused. The ability to lock out the controls would be a very welcome feature.2) Auto mode isn’t what I expected. Now, I might not have read every word in the description as thoroughly as I thought, and that’s my bad. But it seemed to me that Auto Mode was indicating that when the unit sensed a drop in air quality, the unit would increase the fan speed until it cleared it. Apparently, that only applies to detected VOCs, not particle levels. My preference would be that it would be able to act on both. Just be aware of the limitations of this feature, in case you’re primary concern is particles (dust, dander, pollen, etc.).Overall, I do not regret the purchase, and would buy this model to replace the older one when it finally reaches the end of its useful life.

    The best
Quality and they do what they are supposed to. Expensive and get ready for constant pre-filter and filter changes but that’s expected. All of mine work great. Lie noise and no complaints using for over 2 years.

    Product works as described
I am happy with this air filter machine. You do need to keep buying replacement filters but since it is to remove allergens as well as dust, that would be expected. This works as described for the room size in my opinion, and in fact I purchased this one to replace a previous similar model.

Really Like the Honeywell Air Purifiers
I have three of the Honeywell Air Purifiers. My house is dusty and I don’t like house cleaning. These units have definitely reduced the amount of dust that accumulates on surfaces. Really helps with litter box odor as well. The sound on the low setting is like white noise, and I don’t find it objectionable. The high setting is louder, so I use that in the rooms I am not in. I like that I can chose to cut off the console light at night. The machine lets me know when to the pre-filters need attention. I vacuum the black carbon pre-filters regularly and have not had to replace them. I also occasionally rinse off the black pre-filters. No soap or scrubbing, just a gentle rinse, hang to air dry. The instructions state “do not to do this”, but I have not had problems. It is more cost effective. Have not needed to replace the HEPA filters yet. The HEPA filters are not washable but can be vacuumed too. Allergy and pollen season started early in my area and I am glad to have these units running. Recommend all sizes and models of the Air Purifier. My local electric company also sells and recommends them but Amazon has the better prices.

    So far, so good
I just received this air purifier and set it up. Seems to be working well and is very quiet, even on higher speeds.
