    Mixed start. Strong Finish
I’ve had the Honeywell FC15 Ultramax Elite Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner for a while now, and my experience has been a mix of highs and lows.Pros:Vacuum Function: The vacuum function is outstanding. The suction power is impressive, and it picks up dirt and debris effortlessly. Setting it up was a breeze, which is always a plus.Build Quality: This vacuum cleaner is heavy duty and feels robust. It seems like it should handle tough cleaning tasks with ease.Cons: Spray Function: Initially, I couldn’t get the spray function to work, which was quite frustrating. The machine kept indicating that I needed to add clean water, despite the tank being full. This led me to investigate further.Troubleshooting Experience:Water Flow Issue: I realized the lack of spray was due to the water not flowing properly from the tank. I started by checking the insertion of the tank and followed the flow. The seal that moves when the tank is inserted was functioning properly, allowing water to flow.Filter Obstruction: I discovered a small white filter around the spike that inserts into the water tank. Using the cleaning brush, I gently removed a small dot of filter material that had not been completely removed during manufacturing. This dot was covering the spike, preventing the correct water flow. After this process, the machine worked exactly as described. This small dot of filter material had caused all of my frustration. Now, my floors are clean, and I love the machine.

Works great, but kind of superfluous if you don’t have a lot of hardwood floors
DISCLAIMER: This is for cleaning hardwood/linoleum floors…NOT for vacuuming carpet! The phrase “vacuum cleaner” in the product’s title is a bit misleading. This floor cleaner is a handy tool to have. I like how not only is it cordless, but it has its own little charging station where you can place it and have it recharge. The charging station itself has a couple of storage spots on it where you can keep the extra roller, cleaning tools, and floor detergent. While this floor cleaner can vacuum, I still made sure to sweep the floor first before using it, just to help the cleaning process.Cleaning-wise, it works sufficiently well. I didn’t notice any major changes to my floor (the major stains remained), but the cleaning water that it sucked up was pretty dirty. It gave me peace of mind knowing my floor was, in fact, clean and that the cleaner is effective. The battery life was decent. On a full charge, I was able to clean two small bathrooms, my small entryway, bathroom-sized utility room, and kitchen, and still had 26% charge left.Cleaning the device itself is fairly straightforward…kind of like a standard carpet cleaner. The parts are easily removed and can be cleaned manually. My complaint is that, while this is a fine product, ultimately I don’t see using this as any better cleaning-wise than an old-fashioned spray mop. Floor cleaners like this are very nice and help make the work easier in some ways, so if you have large amounts of hardwood/linoleum floors, then this will be a time/work-saver. However, if you just have a few small floors, you’re better off with just a basic Swiffer-type spray mop.

It does what it does well
Straight away I have to say this: this thing is *awesome* for cleaning hard floors (wood, vinyl, tile). Since it arrived I’ve done every room in my house that has hard floors and the whole place just looks great. I guarantee you that would not have happened if it were all the old bucket and pail. This really does the job quickly and without as much mess (in fact it uses so little water that it dries within just a few mins). I’m glad I have this – thank you vine! That said, I have a few quibbles:* The posting for this tool suggests that it’s a wet/dry vacuum that one could use for “dry carpet”. Few things: 1) The instruction manual has not one single mention of this – the instruction manual is ALL about the mopping action (which, again, it does very well). 2) I tried it on some carpet – it’s really pretty useless. Don’t get it if you’re counting on it doing carpets for you as well – this is not that. I’m a bit disappointed because I was kind of looking forward to a all-around tool. Because of this, I think the price is a bit too steep.* The manual talks about how the waste receptacle has a wet and dry section to it. That’s actually not quite accurate. What there are instead is a place for dirty “mostly fluid” to collect, and a place where “the large damp clumps of stuff you probably don’t want mixed in with the mostly fluid” go. There’s nothing in that receptacle that is “dry” when you’ve cleaned something with it. In other words – there’s a very mini version of what goes on when you use a mop and pail. It’s not anywhere at all near as much of a mess as the M&P, but you do still have to deal with it after each usage (and right away, or (per the manual) you’ll get “odors”.* It chews through a battery charge pretty quickly: 20 mins per the manual and I’d guess that’s about right. If you plan to do more than one or two rooms, count on taking a pause in between while it recharges (during which time you’ll want to have cleaned it out so nothing gets dried & caked on inside).* It comes with a generous amount of Honeywell’s cleaning fluid. You get two bottles and you only use 1-2 cap fulls of the stuff per fill up of the fresh water bottle. But: the instructions are quite clear: if you’re going to use any sort of cleaning aid in the water, you must use their stuff. I am guessing a big part of that is that their formula does not foam up. One of the many “DO NOT” things listed in the manual strongly warns against using anything that’s likely to foam up. My guess is if you did in fact use such a solution, you’d end up ruining the hepa filter pretty quickly. SO: use the Honeywell soap ONLY.Those are my quibbles and that’s why it’s not getting all 5 stars. Don’t get me wrong: I am *really* happy with this thing (and so is my house). Just not quite as happy as I was thinking I would be.
